Hypocrisy Thy Name Is John Edwards

You all remember John Edwards refusing to appear in a debate organized and broadcast by Fox News, right? Well here’s the-prettiest-candidate-that-ever-was poo-pooing the controversy surrounding the liberal plants at the recent CNN debate:

KEITH OLBERMANN: The American people today are rising up, demanding to know how at least one Democrat slipped through the system last night, resisted the temptation to ask you that question about how the Republicans answer al Qaeda, if they can, answer a Democrat. Can you tell us for the record if you have contingency plans in place if, heaven forbid, some time in the future someone who is not a Democrat, a registered Republican were somehow able to ask you a question?
EDWARDS: Heaven forbid. How could we possibly survive if someone who is antagonistic or has a different point of view than you do ask a question? We can’t possibly ask somebody from independents or the other people to get elected president of the United States. How could anybody be ready to do that? This whole discussion is ridiculous.

The wording is a little awkward, so watch the video to make it make sense.
The point is this: Edwards is down-playing the controversy over CNN’s use of questions from liberal activists (up to and including a guy who works for the Hillary Clinton campaign) even as he himself refused to appear in a Fox News debate because he feels the network is biased.

Hypocrisy Thy Name Is John Edwards

    Another dog bites man story!

Well that’s a good point maybe in that if you can’t handle a hostile question then maybe you shouldn’t be considered to be President.

Of course that would eliminate Edwards as you point out.

The big thing is that this exposes CNN as a very biased news organization once again.

This is just too funny. As if anyone takes Edwards seriously, not even his wife.
