Well, in fairness, it appears that the latest Sveriges Riksbank (Nobel) laureate stands with Obama. (BTW, if someone has some thoughts on Krugman’s prize, post–the reports I’ve seen don’t really differentiate what he’s done vs. what Adam Smith and Fredic Bastiat did over a century ago)

Reality here, sad to say, is that one’s position on the economics of a candidate really tend to fall on where you fall on the political side of economics. If you fall on the U. of Michigan/liberal side, you’re going to like Obama. If you’re more of a U. of Chicago/conservative man, you’re going to prefer McCain. If you’re a paleoconservative/von Mises/Hayek type, you’re going to go to bed every night with tears in your eyes. :^)

This should be a big story, but the MSM won’t cover it.
