DNC: Are Republicans Picking Democrats To Run The RNC Now?

They can’t stand it.
Republicans, you see, are the party of racist bigots, therefore the election of Michael Steele as the Republican National Committee Chairman is nothing but smoke and mirrors, racism hiding behind some sort of camoflage, a scam to get over on voters. I was wondering how long it would take for the Dems to start picking Steele apart.
Looks like they got right on it:

“Are Republicans now picking Democrats to run the RNC?” a DNC member asks. “Shouldn’t they pick someone who was proud to run as a Republican?”
He was caught hiring homeless people to hand out literature (misleading literature at that) in African American neighborhoods during that same campaign.
“If that is their national strategy to broaden their appeal to minority voters,” emailed another Democratic source, “it’s going to get awfully expensive…..”

Wait….as far as I can tell, Steele is nothing BUT an unabashed Republican. Of course, that doesn’t stop the Dems from babbling this sort of nonsense, nor does it stop them from criticizing Steele for hiring “homeless” to hand out literature for his campaign, completely ignoring the glaring fact that ACORN did the same thing during this past election. And much, much more of it.
These people are shameless. Utterly, completely shameless.
But, wait, there’s more fun. Check out this litany of petty criticisms against Steele:

More facts were pointed out by Judd Legum, Hillary Clinton’s former research director and now heavily entrenched in Maryland politics:
“Steele compared stem cell research to Nazi experiments during the Holocaust.”
“Steele was endorsed by Mike Tyson during his run for Senate. When Tyson, who used to be married to Steele’s half sister, pleaded no contest to assault in Montgomery County in 1998, Steele was on hand to support him.”
“Steele defended former Gov. Bob Ehrlich’s decision to hold a $100,000 fundraiser at a country club that did not allow non-white members, saying that the club’s membership’s policies were “not an issue” because “I don’t play golf.”
Finally, a reader points out that Steele failed in his only attempt to pass the Maryland Bar exam. “This is a joke,” the reader wrote, “isn’t it? Michael (can’t pass bar exam) Steele, about to become RNC chairman?”

Mike Tyson? Mike Tyson? Good Lord, the man is barely sentient. Why in the wide wide world of sports would anyone care who he endorsed? Come on, folks (meaning you Dem Droids out there), you’ll have to do better than that. Mike Tyson. Yeesh.
Anyway, you can bet the farm that this is only the beginning. They’re going to go after Steele like they went after Palin (maybe not quite to that extreme, but go they will). And they’re still slamming Palin by the way. And it won’t stop, at least not until the Republicans find a way to get a candidate-in-a-jar, one without a past and who is absolutely pure and mistake proof, just open and elect. Perfection. You know, like a Democrat.
They are, after all, perfect. If you don’t believe them, just ask them.

That leaves republicans playing catch-up by getting Uncle Tom to run their party so they look “progressive”.

    The liberal mindset:
    Liberal African-American = The One
    Conservative African-American = Uncle Tom

    Lincoln was a Republican.
    Wallace was a Democrat.

    Keep it classy, DINO.

It is pretty funny that republicans chose a black man to lead their train wreck.

Will they be picking a homo next time around?

  • bustoff

Republicans and Democrats should realize that neither side has all the correct answers. Should take a good look at the budget, admit that their policies failed, freeze spending to the current levels (minus stimulus, and new unnecessary wars), and tax the people appropriately to pay the bills.

I must agree. It’s long past time to put political agendas aside and start saving our acorns.

Howard Dean led the party to victory on 2006 and 2008. You know, when democrats took over the country and left republicans with NOTHING?

That leaves republicans playing catch-up by getting Uncle Tom to run their party so they look “progressive”.

    Good luck with that. LOL

  • sayanything-4625

We elect a black man and he is an “Uncle Tom” and we are racists that elected a Token. We don’t elect a black man and we are racists. It couldn’t be that we thought he could help us win elections.

  • pparets

Howard Dean is a shrewed political strategist, whose state-by-state strategy worked brilliantly.

He is the Carl Rove of the DNC and his methodology will be studied for years.

DINO has apparently announced his availability for the position.

Prepare for the Democrat Slave Plantation to begin their Rules for Radicals “Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, and polarize it” assault on Michael Steele.

They did the same thing with Clarence Thomas. Democrats only like black people if they’re liberal.

  • robert108

What’s interesting to me is it’s only the liberals that fixate on Michael Steele’s race, just as they think the race of Barack Obama is important.’

Live by the race card, die by the race card.

  • ollie-B

It’s just the Republicans doing what they do best: making token efforts in an attempt to convince voters that they are changing their ways. Remember Newt Gingrich and his Contract With America.
They were supposed to turn Washington on its head by endorsing term limits, etc. I wonder how many Republicans elected during that era are still on the job. As far as Steele is concerned, it reminds me of the times when banks and corporate offices placed a lone token Black at the front desk to show that Blacks were indeed being employed by their companies. The Republican party knows that it has to change. But electing Steele to head the RNC is an insult to the intelligence of all Americans. Even if every Black person voted for Obama, he could not have won the election without the wide support of White voters. So come on, White People. Open your eyes and smell the coffee. If you don’t, you’re going to be hoodwinked again.

  • Bat One

Same old liberal dishonesty. Must be congenital… just like the ignorance.

Democrats lie, and then try to hold their Republican opponents to account for their own leftwing lies. Makes me wonder if there are ANY honest Democrats left.

Yes, Nixon’s southern strategy that exploited racism in the south was a real class act.

An act that has been exploited by republicans ever since. Now they pick a toby to run their failed party.

    Priceless!

I wondered how long it would take! This is the politically expedient thing for the Dem’s to do. Everyone should read Ben Kinchlow’ book, “Black Yellow Dogs” The party that from it’s inception has stood up for the Black, African-American’s, whatever is the PC term now, has been the Republican party. The dem’s exploit minorities for there own political power, sadly they have the MSM helping them and it is very difficult to get a different message out to people who only watch those venue’s. It’s going to be a long 4 years….

Time to tighten our collective belt and live within our means.

e liar gets one right! We are paying way too much for govt, and it’s time to cut way back on how much money we are forced to give to those greedhead social engineers. We have been spending far too much, for far too long, on failed, wasteful social engineering schemes, and it’s time to stop! Only govt services that are absolutely necessary to our survival as a nation should be tolerated. We just got the bill for the Dem affirmative action home loan mandate program, and it has devastated our economy. No more!

Here’s something for you ELLINAS: You’ve ignored this before, let’s try it again:
Here’s the scenario. Let’s just forget who’s to blame for the current situation. No blame on dem or repub. It is what it is. Let’s just forget who came up with the stimulus package, doesn’t matter if it was dem or repubs, it is what it is. Let’s say six months down the line the stimulus package hasn’t worked and appears that it won’t succeed at all. What would be your suggestion to help the economy and ALL of the American people?

    A Citizen on January 31, 2009 at 01:40 pm

I did not ignore a damn thing. It is obvious to anyone with a brain, that this crisis will not end in six or twelve months.
    My preferred solution:
Republicans and Democrats should realize that neither side has all the correct answers. Should take a good look at the budget, admit that their policies failed, freeze spending to the current levels (minus stimulus, and new unnecessary wars), and tax the people appropriately to pay the bills.

If Republicans are racist, they’d not have crawled over several white guys to put Steele at the helm. They aren’t as stupid as Dino either, and knew full well the claims of tokenism that would be made AND WANTED STEELE ANYWAYS. Not picking Steele would have been played up as racist for “not going with the black guy” as liberals would have said, and either way they’d have been pilloried. If a black man had not even come forward for consideration, the liberals would have said the Republicans were a white guy club. Lose lose lose choices no matter what, but to pretend the liberals would have had anything remotely positive to say about them in any outcome is sheer moonbat thinking.

    pparets:

“Howard Dean is a shrewd political strategist, whose state-by-state strategy worked brilliantly.

He is the Carl Rove of the DNC and his methodology will be studied for years.”

The above was either a masterwork of sarcasm and facetiousness, or of absolute inanity and delusion and will be studies by psychiatrists and English lit. majors for years.

Howard Dean in an utter loon who blew Kerry’s chances every chance he got to open his mouth, and had absolutely nothing to do with Bareback O’Rama. He’s a moonbat has-been and never-was at the same time.

    dfwpike:

“If my memory serves me correctly it was the Republican party who appointed the first black Supreme Court Justice and the first black Secretary of State.

Looks like it’s the Democrats who are trying to play catch-up.”

If memory serves me correctly it was the Democratic Party who was the home of anti-abolitionists like the Copperheads.

    Here’s some bits from Wikipedia.

The Copperheads had numerous important newspapers, but the editors never formed an alliance. In Chicago, Wilbur F. Storey made the Chicago Times into Lincoln’s most vituperative enemy. The New York Journal of Commerce, originally abolitionist, was sold to owners who became Copperheads, giving them an important voice in the largest city. A typical editor was Edward G. Roddy, owner of the Uniontown, Pennsylvania Genius of Liberty. He was an intensely partisan Democrat who saw black people as an inferior race and Abraham Lincoln as a despot and dunce. Although he supported the war effort in 1861, he blamed abolitionists for prolonging the war and denounced the government as increasingly despotic. By 1864 he was calling for peace at any price.

Most Copperheads actively participated in politics. On May 1, 1863, former Congressman Vallandigham declared that the war was being fought not to save the Union but to free the blacks and enslave Southern whites. The Army then arrested him for declaring sympathy for the enemy. He was court-martialed and sentenced to imprisonment, but Lincoln commuted the sentence to banishment behind Confederate lines. The Democrats nevertheless nominated him for governor of Ohio in 1863; he campaigned from Canada but was defeated after an intense battle.

Sounds a lot like the modern Democratic party and the left in general with their anti-semitic mouthings towards Jews and Israel and demanding peace with Islamic Supremacists at any cost.

Democrats continue to be the party of slimy mealy mouthed moral relativists without an ethical compass.

  • sayanything-2483

    * “The enemy properly goaded and guided in his reaction will be your major strength.” For instance, Democrats imply conservatives are racists or that Republicans want to kill senior citizens by limiting the growth of the Medicare system, they imply Republicans want to deny kids lunch money without offering real proof. These red-herring tactics work.

Sound familiar? Another page out of the Salinsky handbook.

  • sayanything-2483

It is obvious to anyone with a brain, that this crisis will not end in six or twelve months.

It was a “scenario” Mr. Wizard.

and tax the people appropriately to pay the bills.

Yup, that’s the answer, take more money out of people’s pockets so they have LESS to pay their own bills and LESS to put back into the economy.
No wonder you live in Stockton.

  • sayanything-2483

When the bills come due, one has to pay.

And when your taxes go up, you have less to pay with.
