Howard Dean Calls McCain An “Opportunist” For Talking About His Military Record

Note to Dean: Talking about something you actually accomplished is hardly being an “opportunist.”

Here’s a cheat sheet:

John Kerry putting himself in for medals in Vietnam and then campaigning on those medals?  Opportunist.

John McCain going through five and a half years of hell in a socialist prison in Vietnam and then using that honorable service to his country on the campaign trail?  Just a guy being honest about who he is.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: The Democrats aren’t going to get much mileage out of going after McCain’s military record.  Though, given how often he’s split with Republicans to side with Democrats while in the Senate, it is understandably hard for them to go after his voting record a lot of the time.

Comments

Howard Dean once again opens his mouth and displays his stupidity! Every time he opens his mouth is an opportunity for Republicans to look good.

I think you’re exaggerating a little here.

On the issues that matter to the Democrats, there are almost none that they agree on, whether it be the war, abortion, or even taxation.

At the moment, they are warning that McCain will be a clone of George Bush.  I doubt that will fly very far.  Your comments already remind us of his reputation for doing things his own way, a “maverick”.  I can’t see him being a clone of anybody.

Howard Dean’s “real solutions” = surrender and socialism.

You can say that again, Lik! Obama = Socialism too… It is scary!

Howard Dean Calls McCain An “Opportunist” For Talking About His Military Record

Yeah, McCain was politically fortunate to spend all those years in a VC prison camp.

Lucky dog.

Dean is a nitwit.

Howard Dean.  Did he serve his country?

Why won’t Dean give another scream and just go away?  Saying that McCain will be a clone of Bush is the dumbest thing I have ever heard.  But it did come out of Howard Dean’s mouth so there isn’t much credability there

A political party cannot be all things to all people. It must represent certain fundamental beliefs which must not be compromised to political expediency, or simply to swell its numbers.
