How They’re Going To Cover It

Dan Froomkin uses what I think will be the method Democrats will use to make the CBS memos controversy go away.

The focus on the documents has overwhelmed other questions that keep being raised about Bush's guard service.

Michael Dobbs writes in Sunday's Washington Post: "A review of the authenticated documentary record for Bush's guard service and interviews with former guard members suggest that the president and his aides have been less than fully candid about unexplained gaps in his military service, and have made misleading and sometimes inaccurate statements that have helped fuel the controversy."

Right. Ignore the fact that a major media outlet tried to run a scam on the President. The real issue is that 35 years ago Bush may have missed some of his National Guard duties.

Yep, Kerry is a stiff, who says he has nothing to hide and then won’t release his military records.

We’re not going to get incisive, penetrating coverage of Kerry out of CBS. Nor, it seems, out of Fox, CNN, Hannity, O’Reilly, Franken, or Limbaugh. Everyone seems more intent on pandering than on digging.

LOL !!!  I’m sure there’s an issue in there somewhere.  smile

Personally, I am all for them covering issues about the President… ALL FOR IT !!!  I just wish they would be intellectually honest and cover Kerry with the same fervor.

Silly me, I thought the real issue was Bush’s inattention to asymmetric terrorism which resulted in 3000 dead at the WTC.

No, wait, I thought it was 1,000 U.S. troops dead in Iraq.

No, wait, I thought it was that he was a vacillating Commander in Chief who lost the peace in Iraq and Lebanized the country.

No, wait, I thought is was that he bred an entirely new crop of terrorist recruits.

No, wait, I thought it was that he blew it on countering North Korea’s nuclear aspirations.

No, wait, I thought it was that he was a liberal spender who saddled us with such a debt that our grandchildren will curse his name.

Silly me, I guess I’m just a fuzzy thinker who is unable to focus on the real issues.
