How Obama’s Plan For High Gas Prices Will Work

I couldn’t help but chuckle when I saw this graphical representation of Obama’s plan for high gas prices.

And remember, Obama is the “new politics” guy.

This is what occurs when you have someone too young to remember lines for gasoline and gas-less Sundays during Jimmy Carter’s “days of malaise”, proposing energy policies.

Impose a new tax on Big Oil and they will simply charge more for gasoline to pass on the new cost.
Maybe Barak Obama thinks we are stoopid, DUH!

If someone told Obama that there are people in America that really think for themselves he just might say something intelligent!

That graphic about sums it all up…

“CHANGE”....What Obama does with his stance on the issues…
“CHANGE”...all that will be left of your money…

I would LOVE for someone to ask Obama, simply…
“Change WHAT, from WHAT, into WHAT???”

Obama 08…more BS, no backbone, no plan.

Was thinking that your graph has an inaccuracy built in. Arrow from consumers TO (implied by some as “evil”)Oil Companies has a value of $1200. I think that history has shown (with inflation and administrative costs included) that value will need to be increased also. No company can continue functioning providing a service at “cost”; even if that service is playing “host” to a “parasite”. I’m thinking more like $2200. As represented, the (implied by some as “evil”)Oil Companies would post a loss.(Business speak: loss=bad; leading to out of business)

This static graph fails to recognize the dynamic nature between the price of gasoline and the amount of Hope ‘n Change distributed to the voters.  After all, under this plan, when gas soars to $12 a gallon and beyond, wouldn’t we voters be receiving at least three times as much Hope ‘n Change?  As a voter, I want as much Hope ‘n Change as I can get and I’m willing to destroy the U.S. economy to get it.  BTW, is my Hope ‘n Change distribution kept in a gov’t lock-box or can I sell my stash of Hope ‘n Change at a yard sale and use the money to buy gas?

We have come to the point with “The Big O” that it’s painfully obvious to anyone who actually is paying attention that he is running the ‘say anything’ campaign to get elected.

If his position is out of step, he will change the cadence to get in line (i.e. the recent 180 degree turn on domestic drilling) with the popular thought.

I like my rockstars with long hair and tattoos, who have little to say about socio-economic and world affairs.  Hey ‘O’, just get a band if you want that rush and leave the really important issues to a grown up.

Has anyone checked Obama’s hair for “666”?

The graphic is far to close to home as in every election there are far to many people voting who do not understand that no matter what the perceived benefit (national defense, the mail, Medicare, SSN, etc) ALL government “revenue” comes FROM Citizens.

Such a deal. You don’t even have to purchase Exxon shares to get a dividend!

Audacity is when you think its perfectly all right to take money that belongs to Exxon-Mobil shareholders and give it, at least a portion of it, to everyone else, and then label as a “racist” anyone with the temerity to disagree.

“Yes we can!”
Can we drill for oil?
“no.”
Can we finally admit the surge is working?
“no.”
Can we run a campaign without calling critics, pundits and the other candidate racists?
“no.”
Can we have townhall meetings so regular people can ask both candidates questions in an open and free exchange of ideas?
“no.”
Can we put aside partisan politics and run on the issues?
“no.”
Can you pretend you’ve already won and have the media fawn all over Obama while ignoring McCain?
“Yes. We. Can.”

“just words.”
Thanks for giving us your REAL campaign slogan, Mr. Obama….

Jeff Fagan - That is probably the best quote I have read on the real Obama message. Your sharp witted comment should be adapted by the McCain campaign as a TV commercial and run on every station across the land.

Thanks.

Your level of Hope for Change increases in direct correlation with the increase in gas prices to the consumer.

Barack Obama doesn’t know what he’s talking about. Hope and change, hope and change, hope and change. Besides Pelosi, he is ignorant to the fact that oil is needed everywhere, for everything, and everyone. I guess he wants this planet to go to pot with earthquakes, huh?  Just when you think you’re saving the planet, you realize you’re killing it. Stupid is as stupid does.

I think I have an answer! He’s trying to fix the immigration problem… If he trashes the economy enough with high taxation, entitlements, regulation, bigger government, etc…. Maybe the illegals won’t want to come here anymore! What a sharp guy.

the graph is nice but the fact remains:If the U.S. had chosen to be a moral people, and leaving Iraqi oil alone, and following Al Gore, decided to develop the South Western deserts, with the technology of the times - solar/thermal-molten sodium - electricity installations, for the same amount of money as that war cost, ($650 Billion), today, we would be tapping into the largest, renewable, sustainable, energy source the world has ever known. It would have paid every energy bill in the U.S.A. for maintenance fees only - FOREVER! It would be equivalent to an oil field that can NEVER run dry! Low cost electric power, and storeable hydrogen gasoline replacement from the electricity, for all!
After the millions of murders, and $650 billions of dollars, borrowed from our children’s futures and pissed away, with thousands of our own and others maimed and disfigured for life, millions of families utterly destroyed, ours and theirs, we are no closer to Iraqi oil production than the Iraqis are!
The next time you hear a blithering idiot spoiled brat, drunken, drug addicted, sociopath, rich Arabic saber dancing daddie’s boy oilman, stand at a microphone and threaten YOUR safety with someone ELSE’S weapons, remember what you lost America, remember, and weep! Uncle B, if solar power were such a wonderful idea and if it were marketable on today’s energy market we’d already be doing it.

It’s not, so we aren’t.

There should be an arrow leading from the gas companies back to the consumer labeled “Higher Prices”. That would be the gas companies passing on their new taxes to the consumer. Obama does not seem to realize that coporations do not pay any taxes, they are all figured into the final price as a cost of doing bussiness.

One of the most important talents for success in politics is the ability to make utter nonsense sound not only plausible but inspiring. Barack Obama has that talent. We will be lucky if we escape the catastrophes into which other countries have been led by leaders with that same charismatic talent.
