How Obama Acts When The Press Treats Him Like A Politician Instead Of A Messiah
The question is, though, is why did the media take so long in getting around to asking Obama the tough questions? Tags: Asshats, Domestic Issues, Media, Politics, The Loony Left

Not so eloquent when he’s off the cuff.
At least he’s still clean.
The main stream media has been practically gushing support for Obama since his first big speach at the Democratic convention (was that ‘04). It’s taken almost four years for him to receive any critical coverage at all.
There’s nothing that raises Obama over any of the other 99 senators in terms of intellect or accomplishments. He’s an empty suit. But the media have built him into a statesman.
Seriously? This is what people are all up in arms about?
I had been hearing about it all day, from Dems and Repubs alike, and got the impression that it was some sort of temper tantrum. This is the first time I got to see it and my reaction is…meh. Whatever.
I think you are making a typical conservative error. You think most people are motivated to vote for candidates based on the issues. That is a mistake! From JFK to Reagan to Billy Jeff and yes even Bush, looks, image and style trump issues. Add to that the movie start qualities and mystique of Obama and instead of hearing about Reagan Democrats, we are hearing about Obama Republicans. They have bought his message of “Change,” and while none could possibly tell you what change and how, they buy the message of change in a handsome, charismatic African-American package, the deal is 99.9% made, only a major screw up by Obama, and I mean a scandal or major verbal gaff, like admitting he is really a homosexual Muslim can keep him out of the White House.
As I have said, I hope I am wrong, I really hope I am wrong, but I think all the evidence supports my beliefs.
Now writing at Hot Air, Ed Morrissey had an interesting take on Obama’s press conference.
Ed’s point is well taken. Without his script, his teleprompter, and his captive audience, Obama seems to be a lot less messianic.
If I was McCain I’d be polishing my debate skills, because it should be pretty easy to make Obama look like a drooling idiot on any issue specifics.
Okay… I’ll be the spoilsport. What evidence? What evidence is there to support your contention that the elections “from JFK to Reagan to Billy Jeff and [sic] yes even Bush” were won on looks, image, or style rather than the substance candidates’ positions on issue? Where’s the beef?
I think when it comes down to it most of the American people won’t vote according to looks, Neiman.
I also think the title of this post and the video itself don’t really match very accurately.
Wrong! Well in my opinion!
1. McCain couldn’t sound good in a debate with a script and someone speaking his lines off stage.
2. Obama can get up for a debate and that is where he’ll win.
3. He will fumble through detailed questions good enough and talk about change with every answer and he will not suffer.
4. Putting Obama beside McCain looks like a movie star beside an unnamed bit player.
None of this matters, none of it, ONLY IMAGE, only the mystique, the movie star image.
Off topic I heard it suggested if Obama wins the nomination, Hillary will take VP, see this as JFK reborn and if he isn’t assassinated in 1000 days, she has an Arkansas State Trooper ready to do the job. The other scenario is she’ll hold out for the Supreme Court and take out Roberts within a year.
The foregoing is not serious folks!
There is nothing to this guy why do you think he is running away from the media.
