How Long Do You Think Salman Rushdie Will Live Now That He’s Been Knighted?

So...the British have decided to bestow a Knighthood on Salman Rushdie, the author of the controversial (at least in the Islamic world) book, The Satanic Verses. As we all know, the Religion Of Perpetual Homicidal Frenzy decided that the book was an insult to Islam and therefore the author must die.

They put a reward on his head - and in their 7th century reality that really means on his head - and he had to go into hiding for ten years to keep from being butchered by those enlightened Messengers of God.

And now he’s being knighted by the Brits in what has to be an in-your-face eff you with a capital “F” to Iran. Done with dignity, pomp, and circumstance, of course. The mullahs are in a tizzy over this and the usual cries of Islamaphobia have begun. The degenerate West, they howl, hates Islam because Islam is pure and holy and we prove it by offering a badge of honor to a vile apostate like Rushdie. Let me see if I can clear this up a bit.

We don’t hate Islam because we’re Islamaphobic. And we don’t hate Islam in general. We hate the radical factors that are determined to drag Islam right back to a world where murder is a duty, women are uneducated property, and their entire society is controlled by illiterate, unwashed mullahs with absoultely no frame of reference other than the Koran.

Just take a look at what just happened in Gaza. The enlightened Holy Warriors on both sides if the issue, Hamas and Fatah, slaughtered each other by the dozens while screaming how great God is. Am I missing something here? They actually took prisoners to the top floor of high rise buildings and threw them off, bound, to their deaths. Does anyone out there actually think that if Israel, their great bogeyman and their proclaimed reason for their constant rabid state of violence, were to cease to exist that they would just say, good, great, now let’s all live in peace and harmony and sing kumbaya forever?

Not in this universe. What just happened clearly shows that if they didn’t have Israel to hate and kill they will hate and kill each other. For Allah.

These people are the worst examples of humanity. Oh...by the way, I should explain my use of the word “hate” above. Is it right to hate? Should I hate these people? Well, yeah. These people want to kill me, my family, you and your family and all your friends. They want to tear down everything better people have built and replace it with a primitive, savage culture where science is nonexistant and to be educated in anything but the Koran is a death sentence. So, yep, I pretty much hate those bastards. So sue me.

I think, though, if I had been Salmen Rushdie I might have thought long and hard before accepting that Knighthood. The unwashed mullahs have already started their hollering for his head again and with the ascendant Muslim population in Britain - much of it radicalized - they may get it this time.

Despite the honor maybe his reply should have been, thanks, but, no thanks.

UPDATE:

It seems that our friends the Pakistanis have joined in the screeching for Rushdie to die in horrible ways. One minister even said that the Knighthood “justifies suicide attacks.” Nice. Check this out:

It should be no surprise that they hate and kill each other, and would continue in the event that they ever quit hating Israel.  They’ll never quit hating Israel, but they’ll never defeat Israel, either.  But I digress.

The ethnic arab muslims are descendents of Ishmael, who was born of Abraham’s servant outside of God’s will.  Abraham and Sarah didn’t want to wait for God to make good on his promise of a child, so they took a shortcut with Hagar, Sarah’s handmaid, and Ishmael came into being.  The Bible says of Ishmael:

“And he will be a wild man; his hand will be against every man, and every man’s hand against him; and he shall dwell in the presence of all his brethren.” (Genesis 16:12)

The context of “in the presence of” is akin to today’s phrase “in the face of”, in other words, in conflict with.  They’re destined to infighting, taking pause only to hate Israel, the descendents of Abraham according to God’s promise, against whom they continue to kindle hatred, jealousy, and rage.

Genesis 21 describes how Abraham sent away Hagar and Ishmael, and God reassures him:

“And God said unto Abraham, Let it not be grievous in thy sight because of the lad, and because of thy bondwoman; in all that Sarah hath said unto thee, hearken unto her voice; for in Isaac shall thy seed be called.” (Genesis 21:12)

It’s pretty easy to predict and explain the mentality of middle eastern Muslims, seeing how they have an inferiority complex due to their jealousy of Israel.  Abraham acting outside of God’s will continues to haunt Israel, and the rest of the world, to this day.

Clint,

Good explanation from the Biblical perspective. Like I said, if Israel ceased to exist tomorrow these poeple will NOT be at peace. They will find a reason for hate and justify it through the cult they call a religion.

Clint.  We just finished this part of Genesis yesterday.  Amazing.  Pilgrim, glad a few others can acknowledge at least the historical facts found in The Bible.

Going through my (intermittent) daily reading and it that last week.  Spent about 20 minutes mulling that one over.  It isn’t very comforting.

and he shall dwell in the presence of all his brethren.

Yep.  Less comforted now.

The Arab world can lay claim to the greatest number of openly anti semitic regimes and populations in the world, by any standard of measurement. There are more copies of Mein Kampf sold in Arabic today than in any other language. In fact, the only volume more popular in Arab homes is the Quran. I seriously doubt that 99.9% of Muslims have even seen a copy of Salmen Rushdie’s book.

According to UN Human Development Report, the Arab world has the lowest standard of education in the world, save for sub Saharan Africa. Given that there are virtually no schools in sub Saharan Africa, that is quite an educational milestone.

Of course, who the Palestinians are is no secret. We have seen those realities for decades. What is more interesting is to see those who doggedly support the Palestinians, despite seeing the barbarism first hand. That says a whole lot more about them than it does about the Palestinians.

- Sparkie

As a matter of fact, Sparkie, I did, and I still have a copy on my shelf. I found it - unremarkable at best and hard to get through. Not something that I’d pick up and read again.

I read it because of all of the hype at the time. Much ado about nothing, actually. Like Micket said above, I also doubt if 99.99999% of those Muslims wanting to kill Rushdie ever read it. They just go on the word of the unwashed, uneducated mullahs.

And that’s what makes them so dangerous.

Yes, I have Sparkie. I am afraid it was so long ago that I hardly remember it but not so long ago I still get to claim I read it.  wink

I like Miller, not one of my favorites, though. Charles Bukowski is another.

Nothing about Satanic Verses stands out. I’m with Anna on that one. I read it but, duh. Some books you read over and over again, like Catch-22 or The Killer Angels or Shogun. Some you just read and you’re happy to just get through them. That’s one.

Chief RZ, Clint and others: I am reading “Judgment Day,” by Dave Hunt (The Berean Call, Bend, Oregon); and in the first few chapters (maybe more) he details all that you have been saying above, but with much, much more specific biblical and extra biblical facts. Clint was right about the fact Israel will never be defeated, although near the end it will be very close; and the evil in the heart of not just these Islamic terrorists, but the vast majority of Muslims in every country in the world is a passionate hatred for Israel, the Jews and for anyone who supports Israel, like the United States.

God tells us that anyone (That includes the US) that gets involved with Israel will be broken and the existence of Irael will cause fear and trembling by all (Muslims)who come against Israel.

I have mentioned before that I was not happy that FDR was so tardy in coming into the war (WW-II) and thus stopping the Holocaust. Dave Hunt presents documented information to indicate FDR, the State Department, much of Congress and the world didn’t give a damn, they didn’t want to be bothered, and they didn’t really want to help those danm Jews.

Neiman.  The jury is out as to how much FDR knew and when and even about the JAPS attack on 12/7/41.  The communists killed over 100 million people including 7 million in Ukraine.

ChiefRZ: I understand, but get this book and look at the documentation and I think you will see thate at the least FDR was quite complacent about what was happening to the Jews; and he absolutely knew before we got involved in Europe about what was happening to the Jews, and being charitable to him. I would say he was tardy, very, very tardy.

I read it recently—a pretty interesting work of fiction, well worth the effort.

That said, the heretical part—the so-called ‘satanic verses’—are ancillary to the story, and no big secret, so the only reason for the Mullahs to get upset is if they a) don’t read, and b) mistakenly believe that the book actually promotes the ancient heretical doctrine.

But i guess there mere mention of any ‘satanic verses’ has to be supressed, because that might cause someone to actually look into the history of the Mohamedan faith…

Allah forbid!

Actually, the Bible indicates that God made another promise to Abraham:

“And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.” (Genesis 12:3)

We were founded as a Christian nation, regardless of what the “Freethinkers” atheists in Fargo want to say...and I believe that the success of the United States has been due to our collective faith and our steadfast support of Israel.  We turn our backs on them, and we’re going to be quite irrelevant.  While nations like Russia and China are mentioned in biblical end time prophecy, we are not.  That may or may not be very comforting.

Clint on June 19, 2007 at 11:37 am

Clint: We are already in trouble because God also tells us that he will judge any person or nation that divides (parts) Israel, taking any part of it away from His chosen people. The United States and even Bush have recognized a Palestinian State and are forcing Israel into a two-state solution.

Does that make all Arabs the descendants of Abraham’s bas-tard child?

We are already in trouble because God also tells us that he will judge any person or nation that divides (parts) Israel, taking any part of it away from His chosen people. The United States and even Bush have recognized a Palestinian State and are forcing Israel into a two-state solution

On that day, God made a covenant with Abraham, saying: “To your descendants I have given this land, from the river of Egypt as far as the great river the Euphrates. The land of the Kenites, Kenizites, Kadmonites; the Hittites, Perizzites, Refaim; the Emorites, Canaanites, Girgashites and Jebusites.” - Genesis 15:18-21 ...

...The Tanakh (or Hebrew Bible, referred to also as the “Old Testament” by Christians) contains several descriptions of the borders of the land.[1] These descriptions encompass a region that extends from the “River of Egypt"[2] to the Euphrates. Areas known to be included are the modern State of Israel, the West Bank (Judea and Samaria), the Gaza Strip, and parts of modern-day Syria and Lebanon. The biblically described region also encompasses the Sinai Peninsula, which is widely believed to encompass the route of the Hebrew Exodus from Egypt. The land allocated east of the Jordan River in Numbers 34:1-15 includes much of Jordan.

Looks like it was too late even for Bush, as we had a chance to return all of The Promised Land to the Jews after WW1, but didn’t.

ManofFireandLight on June 19, 2007 at 12:40 pm

MOFAL: This is a very complicated subject. You asked “Does that make all Arabs the descendants of Abraham’s bas-tard child?” I don’t have the time now to explain, but in the culture of the time Ishmael would not be considered a bastard at all and; if it were not for God promising the heir of Abraham would come from Sarah’s body, Ishmael would have been Abraham’s legitimate heir. 1. Ishmael’s mother was not Arab, she was Egyptian. 2. While Israel was not yet born, the Iraelites (Jews) were from Abraham, a direct descendent of Adam, and Sarah. 3. Ishmael was Jewish and Egyptian. 4. Arabs are indigenous people of the Arabian Peninsula. 5. Islam is made up of Arabs and other racial/ethic groups.

The land given to the Jews by God is detailed in its boundaries in Scripture and would very closely fit within current Israel including the so-called Palestinian territories. It would border on the North by Lebanon and Syria, Jordan to the East and the Sinai to the South. So the only divisions are we are talking about would be the Gaza and West Bank being parted from Israel.

Being in a hurry I might not have stated things perfectly above, but it is very close to being right.

I too agree that with this whole land-for-peace debacle, the USA is no longer “blessing” Israel, and some pretty nasty things have happened to us since then...at the hands of the enemies of Israel, I might add.
