House Republicans Call For Special Session Of Congress To Address Domestic Drilling

A good move from Representatives Jeb Hensarling and Mike Pence, and I certainly hope President Bush embraces it.
Especially with Barack Obama already cratering on his opposition to domestic drilling for oil. The Democrats are dead wrong on oil. The public wants more domestic exploration for oil.
It’s high time the Republicans made the Democrats walk the line on this issue.

I don’t understand the hype over off shore drilling??
Start digging more holes in western ND. I heard yesterday that there is a 2 year wait on new drilling rigs because so many holes are getting punched in the west???

Reopening offshore development isn’t “hype”; there are capped wells off of Santa Barbara that could be increasing our supply by the end of the year.

This is a winning issue and Bush should call a special session.

Well, this issue could minimize our losses in November — but only if the Democrats refuse to do anything. It’s to our advantage for them to continue to run away.

Imagine, the hype is that all land which has the potential to produce oil should be available for exploration and exploitation.

Cuba and China are already developing oil reserves some 50 miles off of our coast. We’re stupid to ignore those reserves.
