Rep. Alcee Hastings, voicing some unintentional truth:


Jim Hoft:

It should be noted that in 1981, Hastings was charged with accepting a $150,000 bribe in exchange for a lenient sentence. Hastings was impeached for bribery and perjury becoming only the sixth federal judge in the history of the United States to be removed from office by the Senate.
He’s still making the rules as he goes along.

Hope for change.

    Ethics and morals are alien to the Democratic Party. The worse they get, the less impetus for the Republican Party to get its own house in order. If the Dems can get to power by being such twits, why bother with principles? I'm hoping I'm wrong but I am not seeing the Reps. becoming unified and principled as a result of the Democrat crack-up.

    Too bad he could not change the rules before his bribery conviction and impeachment. Funny how criminal history seems to be a resume enhancement fir the Dem/Libs of today. All jokes aside, i hope this health care bill get's passed so we can put a squeeze on big dollar Insurance Companies and these crappy doctors. Plus, all this resistance from The Republican party is just another form of racism.

    I don't think that is racist. But you're reaction does lead me to believe why 42% of people polled are against this bill. I would love to have a situation where people can get health care to prevent them from dieing. I was just watching Meet The Press this morning and one of the speakers mentioned that over 3200 people per year die in Chicago, Ill from lack of health care insurance. Pretty sad. After the trials and tribulations are over w/this bill. I think the government should really focus on establishing a better Educational system because States are cutting back outrageously on their Education Funding to stay fiscally competent. We've got to do something about.

    Every poll shows more opposed than for the bill, by a large margin. And you use the lamest, most disingenuous argument possible, that lots of people die because they don't have health care. EVERYONE DIES, imbecile, even people with health care plans.

    And Meet The Press? Get serious. That's NBC, a dem propaganda machine, all Obama, all the time.

    Here's an idea: If you want health care get a job that provides this benefit or work hard and buy your own. We don't want to pay your way. We are not your parents.

    The public option is designed to make government the one "insurer". It sucks
    Alternatives? Let insurance sell policies any where, any state.
    Tort needs addressed.
    Malpractice insurance reform.
    Defensive medicine is a leading contributor to costs.
    The list is massive, and does not include government any where.

    When government can can find the 60 billion a year they lose to medicare fraud, I might listen.
    When government can make social security solvent and sound. I might listen.
    When government can make medicare and medicaid solvent and sound. I might listen.

    And 3200 people didnt die in Chi town from lack of insurance, they died because they either didnt seek care or were just plain too sick! Another dem talking point, I think its garbage.

    CF your biggest problem is that neither one of these "reform" bills will cover everyone. Estimates range from 9 million uncovered to 20 million uncovered. So we will spend all this money, go bankrupt and still have uncovered Americans. Yet you call us racists because we think this isn't a good idea.

    You truly are NOT INFORMED. This so called "health care reform" is nothing more then the federal government taking control of the world's BEST care system. The "reformed system",which we will pay for over the next 4 years without any "new reform" will KILL both the economy and healthcare. The monster health insurance companies have an average profit margin of 3-4%. That is a lower profit margin then the perfume companies.

    When the IRS comes to your door to collest your new taxes are you going to call ALCEE?

    This "reform" isn't about healthcare or helping Americans. It's about money, power and control. It's about taking from the middle-class and giving to the lower class. Thereby destroying the middle-class. Marxism to the core.
