Hold Lost—Frist “Porkbuster Bill” Will Reach the Floor in September

Via Instapundit: Remember the Senate Bill to bring transparency to the budget. This bill would require the government to have an easy to understand web site that had all the details of federal contracting on it. The bill was held by one of the Senator's, which we only just found it it was "Bridge to Nowhere" Ted Stevens from Alaska. The story entered a new phase as it turned out that ANOTHER senator put his own hold on it. That turned out to be Robert KKK Byrd from West Virginia. This is an election year for the old Klansman and that may be why he pulled his hold today. The great news is that Senate Majority Leader Frist has made a commitment.
Bill Frist makes a commitment: "In September, I will bring S. 2590 to the floor of the Senate for the vote it deserves."
