Hillary Wasn’t Behind Hillarycare?

Right.

And her vote for the Iraq war in 2003 was really a vote to send in more UN inspectors.  You gotta love the Clintons.

But this move from Bill & Hill is pretty interesting.  If Hillary is trying to distance herself from socialized medicine it speaks volumes about American support for it.

The folks running the Clinton political machine aren’t stupid.

Socialized “free” healthcare is just another form of leftest redistribution of wealth and class warfare.

Right now, I pay about $250 a month for my healthcare insurance.  Under Socialized Medicine, I would pay about $1200 a month in higher taxes (ask the brits).

I would receive worse care for 5 times as much money.  So who would get the ‘free’ healthcare?  All of those low wage earners whose tax rate is so low, they likely would not pay a dime for the same exact coverage I get for my $1200 a month.

Under socialized healthcare, when I want to see a specialist, I get to wait in line behind hundreds of people whose healthcare I am basically paying for.

In conclusion, my reward for going to college, getting a masters degree, working 80 hours a week getting ahead and finally becoming financially secure is I get to pay for the healthcare of all those people who sat on their asses and did nothing.

Excellent.  Now we see why the Soviet Union and North Korea are such rousing success stories.

All men are created equal, unfortunately, they don’t all end up that way.

I am in favor of Hillarycare (National Health Insurance)! That’s right you right wing scum, I am in favor of socialized medicine in America. Now, I must admit I have one tiny caveat and demand before it is passed into law - the government can take the money from everyone in America checking a little box in thei tax forms and writing into a box an amount they want to contribute each year, but the government has no right or power to reach into my pocket and take one penny from me for this program.

I like the idea these liberals want to pay for health care for everyone, hell I may take some; but they cross the line when they try and make everyone else support their compassionate social programs.

Socialized Medicine Now!
But, let the Liberals and Democrats lead the way by voluntarily paying all the bill and leave those of us choosing to keep our own money alone.

The folks running the Clinton political machine aren’t stupid.

No; they’re just evil liars who care for nothing but the acquisition of power for their leftie boss.

If govt control of the economy were the way to go, the Soviet Union would be the richest, most powerful nation in the history of the world.

Rob, did you even bother to read the original article?  I rather doubt or you would have been accurate in your post.  So sad.

My accounting of the article was entirely accurate.  That it doesn’t match whatever spin you’ve got in your head is neither here nor there.

But I wait, with bated breath, your semi-literate rant about how wrong I am.

The purpose of government shouldn’t be to do good, but simply to refrain from doing evil.

Let’s see you wrote that this is a move by Bill and Hillary.  Yet the article was written by a right wing writer Paul Star who recounts what Bill Clinton said years ago about the failed health care intiative.

Now you post something that purports to have occurred recently and was put forward by the Hillary machine.  That is where you are wrong, Rob.

Puzzlefeet on September 16, 2007 at 08:17 pm

Whoa, back that up Paul Star is the author from the American Prospect, a liberal mag.  My bad.  my point is still the same that the author is writing from a perspective and not from the Hillary machine.

Interesting article.  I read the companion article as well that discusses whether or not Hillary threatened the Senators to get their support.

I don’t have the information to counter either of these articles.  They are interesting for putting out a different perspective.

However, if we use Hillary’s out of control campaign strategy, the line of Hillary threatening the Senators seems credible.

And, that throws both articles into question.
