Hillary Envisions A Day When You May Not Be Able To Get A Job If You Don’t Have Health Insurance

Yikes…

WASHINGTON – Democrat Hillary Rodham Clinton said Tuesday that a mandate requiring every American to purchase health insurance was the only way to achieve universal health care but she rejected the notion of punitive measures to force individuals into the health care system.
“At this point, we don’t have anything punitive that we have proposed,” the presidential candidate said in an interview with The Associated Press. “We’re providing incentives and tax credits which we think will be very attractive to the vast majority of Americans.”
She said she could envision a day when “you have to show proof to your employer that you’re insured as a part of the job interview — like when your kid goes to school and has to show proof of vaccination,” but said such details would be worked out through negotiations with Congress.

Hillary says that “at this point” she doesn’t have anything “punitive” in mind for people who don’t have health insurance. So that raises a couple of questions.
First, what “punitive” things does she have in mind for the future? Fines for people with no health care? Jail time? Well what about people who can’t afford the health care Hillary is mandating? Surely a good bleeding-heart liberal like Hillary isn’t going to let that happen, so I imagine all the people who can’t afford health care will get it from the taxpayers. Which will create the sort of vicious cycle we’ve seen with government tuition subsidies driving up the cost of higher education. As Americans are taxed more and more to pay for this health care plan more and more people won’t be able to afford their own health care. So more of them will be get it from the taxpayers thus increasing the burden on the taxpayers. And so it goes.
Hillary says that this won’t be government-run health care, and maybe it isn’t (though I have a hard time believing that government-mandated insurance isn’t “government-run”), but it certainly puts us on the road to that.
Second, what about illegal immigrants? Hillary, like a good union lackey, screeches bloody murder whenever someone talks about requiring people to prove citizenship before they get a job (or before they vote, for that matter, but I digress). Now she’s in favor of making people prove they have health insurance before they get a job? And how long until Hillary’s plan is covering illegal immigrants?
That’s a question I’d really like to hear her answer.

I thinks it’s important to make health insurance more affordable and look forward to hearing what all the candidates say in the campaign.

If this woman (for lack of a better term) makes it into the White House it will be the death of the Republic.

But, hey, what would she care? She’d have already gotten what she wanted. Fuck the rest of us.

I cannot put in words how much of a vile, reprehensible being she is.

Hillary’s plan doesn’t mention illegal aliens because if she’s elected they won’t exist. No need to single out a group that will lose the illegal title in her plans. It doesn’t name blacks, Asians, native Americans or anyone else specifically either. It’s automatically understood that they will be covered.

Hillary’s “Health Care” plan consists of federal price controls on the industry coupled with a grotesque and blatant abridgment of our individual liberty by forcing the purchase of government mandated insurance. Price controls have never worked, in any circumstances, and are the exact opposite of what is needed.

As for the mandated purchase of healthcare insurance, I have a difficult time imagining that the courts would uphold legislation which would require Americans to purchase anything, and thus give the federal government effective control of our after-tax income as well as that which it forces from us in taxes. In the very worst moments of WWII, liberal Democrat icon FDR never required the purchase or government war bonds, for example.

Mrs. Clinton is a danger to our republic, as are those who support her quest for power. She is more honest about her megalomania than her rivals, but thats hardly much comfort when we’re dealing with a collectivist autocrat whose goal is total control of our lives.

For many people, the only way they can get health insurance is through their employer. If you can’t get a job without health insurance, and the only way you can afford health insurance is through an employer, then her plan really will make everything worse. Like a good Marxist, her real plan is to alienate people even further. Once alienated, the people will listen to anyone promising to save them from the evil, greedy private insurance companies.

That will give her the political power ot kill private insurance companies and nationlize the industry.

Lessee…to get a job, you need insurance, but to get insurance, you need money, so you need to get a job?

Seems that the Hillebeast needs to read a novel by Eric Heller called “Catch-22.” Of course, with logic like hers, I’m guessing that the irony of the book would be lost on her.

Yeah, market forces when there is only one clinic and one hospital in most communities and they are all one. So much for the market.

Which is caused by union-style protectionism by the AMA, not the market. In a real market, there are many competitors; only govt interference leads to permanent monopoly.

HP your problem ain’t the left. Your problem is you can’t keep the moderate republicans or republican women in line for the next election. Let’s not even talk about the independents.

Rob, Hillary knows best, and she is the smartest woman in the world.

How dare you question her competence to decide what is best for you.

If we return medical care to market forces, we won’t need insurance for the most part; medical care will be affordable.

If one was given the choice of using oven mitts to remove a hot pan from the oven or not using the oven mitts, all but dumbest would choose the former simply because they don’t want to get burned.

This upcoming election is very similar; people can choose to keep their freedom by rejecting a demagog like Hillary, or not keep their freedom by voting for her. All but dumbest would choose the former simply because they don’t want to get burned.

Herein lies the problem, most of the left are the dumbest.
