A rare moment of honesty from a liberal:

LAHORE: The leadership of Al Qaeda is in Pakistan, US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said on Thursday.
“I find it hard to believe that nobody in your government knows where they are and couldn’t get them if they really wanted to,” she added.
“Maybe that’s the case; maybe they’re not gettable. I don’t know… As far as we know, they are in Pakistan,” Clinton told senior Pakistani newspaper editors in Lahore, AFP reported. “The percentage of taxes on GDP (in Pakistan) is among the lowest in the world… We (the United States) tax everything that moves and doesn’t move, and that’s not what we see in Pakistan,” she said.

It’s hard to tell what her point is, exactly, from the context of the article but she goes on to talk about population growth in Pakistan and the need for them to do more planning. So, apparently, she’s calling in the Pakistanis to tax more so they can have more government.
It used to be that America was seen as the world’s foremost proponents of individual liberty and representative government. Now it appears as though we’re the foremost proponents of big, burdensome, tax-everything-in-sight government.

Two words. Robin Hood.

They never get the popularity of a story about a truly noble nobleman returning from the crusades, finding his land in turmoil under the boot of an avaricious government that seizes everything of any value in taxation, and then proceeds to return that property to the people.

Of course, liberals like to paint it as stealing from the rich to give to the poor, but the rich in question were either the government under Prince John or his cronies who supported his usurpation of the office of King Richard. The monies stolen were not theirs to begin with, not gotten through business with free entities, but stolen originally from those poor people under the guise of taxation.

The truth is, the revolt was over a government that arrogantly believed itself above the common man, acted on that belief with sadistic intent, and drove the citizenry to the point that a single man of action and charisma was all that was needed to get them across the line.

When such things happen, chaos reigns and people die.

That is exactly what the liberals are going to bring about if the country lets them. Yet I get the impression more and more that they know that, and have less desire to stop it, than help it come about for the cathartic moment in the offing.

I wouldn't want to be within a mile of responsibility for the mess when that happens. There's still time to derail it, if only just delay it, but as long as we miss the point of the liberals' drives and the depths of their ignorance, we're just hastening it.

during her visit she really did well when she was on a talk show. telling them they didnt have to take the money if they didnt like our rules. and said the usa would never let canada occupy and north dakota while attacking new york and get away with it.
