Hillary Can’t Even Practice What She Preaches When It Comes To Pets

Jeez…

AS THE “first pet” of the Clinton era, Socks, the White House cat, allowed “chilly” Hillary Clinton to show a caring, maternal side as well as bringing joy to her daughter Chelsea. So where is Socks today?
Once the presidency was over, there was no room for Socks any more. After years of loyal service at the White House, the black and white cat was dumped on Betty Currie, Bill Clinton’s personal secretary, who also had an embarrassing clean-up role in the saga of his relationship with the intern Monica Lewinsky. . . .
Clinton wrote a crowd-pleas-ing book Dear Socks, Dear Buddy: Kids’ Letters to the First Pets, in which she claimed that only with the arrival of Socks and his “toy mouse” did the White House “become a home”.
Being Clinton, she also lectured readers that pets are an “adoption instead of an acquisition” and warned them to look out for their safety. (Buddy, the chocolate labrador, it should be noted, bounded into a road soon after leaving the White House and was promptly run over.)

Like usual, the Clintons tell us to live our lives one way and then go ahead and live their lives the other way. Which fits perfectly with how most liberals are, doesn’t it?
Al Gore tells us to live energy-efficient lives while he jet-sets in a private airplane. John Edwards lectures us about how we need to pay more in taxes to help America’s “underclass” from a 30,000 square-foot mansion. Hillary tells us to treat our pets as adoptions even as she treats hers as political props. It may seem like a minor point, but it all stems from the same attitude.
Liberals love telling other people how to live their lives, they just don’t think all the rules should apply to them personally.
All animals are equal, but some are more equal than others.

That is a great pic! As for Socks, he at least didn’t end up living out of trashcans in DC.

In June we took in a kitten that had been dumped along our road, 2 weeks ago another one came in the cat door, starving and so young its eyes had not turned. Now we got 7, yes, 7 cats. We get a lot of animals dumped in our area, the stray dogs get especially bad from time to time. Wonder if Bill and Hillie would lend a hand?
