Hey, Guess Who Is On The UN Security Council
Libya, Vietnam and some country called Burkina Faso (you may recognize them under their former name, The Republican of Upper Volta).
While Burkina Faso may not be a global power, at least they’re something of a democracy. Vietnam is a communist dictatorship, and while Libya has made positive strides in recent years toward being less of a threat to international security (mostly thanks to Bush’s policies in the middle east) the country still cruelly oppresses its people.
And these are the nations that now have a vote in the UN to determine what other nations’ foreign policy should be. Remember how, in the 2004 election, Kerry said American foreign policy should have to pass a “global test” before it could be implemented? Well now a communist dictatorship and a Muslim dictatorship are part of that test.
Still want to put a UN-loving liberal in charge of our foreign policy?
