Here We Go Again: Susan Sarandon Promises To Move To Canada (Or Maybe Italy) If John McCain Wins

And here I was still hoping that Alec Baldwin is going to follow through on his similar threat from 2004.

She says if John McCain gets elected, she will move to Italy or Canada. She adds, “It’s a critical time, but I have faith in the American people.”

She has faith in the American people, but only if they elect the people she wants.  Otherwise she’s moving.

Personally, if Barack Obama gets elected, I’m going to acknowledge him as my duly-elected President and then continue to criticize his politics as I am now.  Because that’s the American way.  Those of us who enjoy living in a liberal democracy realize that the will of the people must be respected, even if we don’t particularly agree with it.

I wish more liberals, who are still carping about “stolen elections” in 2000 and 2004, felt the same way.
