Help Out A North Dakotan

College football fans are undoubtedly aware of the fact that North Dakota State University upset the University of Minnesota’s Golden Gophers this last weekend in football.  Now NDSU running back Tyler Roehl (who rushed for 266 yards and a touchdown in the Bison victory) is being considered as USA Today’s Player of the Week.  But he needs some help from you readers.

Go here to the USA Today website and vote for Roehl on the left sidebar.  And do it quick before the Gopher fans find out and try to steal his thunder.

OK, for Bison pride, I voted for Tyler… But, he’s stacked up against Matt Forte… a guy who rushed the ball 38 times for 342 yards and four touchdowns, breaking his own school and Conference records ... the very records he broke just last month.

So far though… Tyler leads in fan support… that should count for something.

When they get a TD do they all smack their top teeth on their lower lip and act like happy gophers?
LOL…

Those poor souls in Fargo probably think this is a big deal beating a bad Goopher football team.

Now when the Sioux beat the Gophers in Hockeyball where they are a strong program THAT’S a big deal.

One more example of Fargo trying to keep up with their betters.

What’s going to happen to US industry when the global warming extremists like John McCain double the price of electricity?  I would think all these factories will close and set up in countries where they aren’t scared of technology.

The last comment was a just a bit of ribbing.

Great job Bison.  You’ve done an excellent job building up your football team in the last couple years.

You know, as a MN taxpayer, I think I already did my part to help Tyler win.  :^) Go Goofers, and take the ViQueens and Twinkies with you when you go!

Next up for da goofers; Michigan.  Just might be UGLY.

Bike Bubba, it must at least be amusing to watch Sid Hartman go into meltdown.

Hail the Bison!  What a great decision to go D-1.  I can’t wait until they can get into the playoffs.

It might be, but I don’t watch the games much anymore.  More or less, I’m not ready to explain about “Cialis” and a “four hour ....” to my daughters.  Maybe in a decade.

On the other hand, if the Goofers are about the same, maybe more than a decade.

OK.  I’m revising my earlier comment.  I’m sure Matt Forte is a local hero this week too… but both Tulane and SMU are so far down in the rankings that it makes a difference. The fact that Roehl got his stats against an FBS team that should have been superior adds to his accomplishment.
