Heitkamp Votes Against Defunding Obamacare

heidi heitkamp

This won’t really come as news to much of anyone, but Senator Heidi Heitkamp won a narrow election in a red state, and it’s always worth mentioning when she governs to the left of the electorate she represents.

Yesterday Senator Heitkamp voted in a partisan-line vote with Democrats to keep funding for Obamacare in place.

Here’s the roll call (Senator Hoeven, obviously, voted with Republicans).

The purpose of the amendment, introduced by Senator Ted Cruz, was “To prohibit the use of funds to carry out the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act.”

In related news, in addition to Obamacare killing jobs and driving up health insurance costs, it appears as though getting health insurance through the program will be as simple and complicated as…doing your taxes.

That’s what Heitkamp voted “yes” for. Health insurance that is more expensive and harder to get.

With more and more coming out each day on ObamaCare—-with it in place, there is no possible way to present a balanced budget, let alone a deficit under 1 trillion per year to the American People………….so one can conclude Heitkamp is for perpetual 1 trillion plus annual deficits, and a Fed debt level of 24 trillion by the end of her term. —-or a country without any defensive structure in place at all.

Worse than that, a vote for Obamacare is a vote for the destruction of America. I hope her constituents are pleased with her. Only a communist or communist sympathizer could support the damage Obamacare will do to America.

ObamaCare is a God-sent reductio ad absurdum of liberalism.

In her defense, she has always said she would continue to support the boondoggle that is Obamacare.

More of an indictment on those who voted for her thinking she would be a moderate.

Forget the details. The important thing is that she is for free healthcare for all. Isn’t that what is important?

Anyone who actually believed her campaign BS about being an independent thinker in DC should run, not walk, to the nearest clinic for an EEG to check for brain activity.

Yes, how dare Heitkamp not adopt the Rick Berg’s defeated one-note campaign of repealing Obamacare.

if you think North Dakotans elected her to support Obamacare, you’re fooling yourself.

If you think they elected her to act on Rick Berg’s platform, you’re fooling yourself.

Why would she vote against a program that ND republicans are working to implement?

That is a sad, but 100% true, statement.
