Heitkamp Campaign Releases Web Ad Attacking Rick Berg On The Minimum Wage

The campaign for liberal Senate candidate Heidi Heitkamp has released a web ad – featuring MSNBC talking head Ed Schultz – ripping Rick Berg on the minimum wage. The ad features selectively-edited footage from video released earlier this year showing a Democrat plant asking Berg what the minimum wage is at a campaign event (the Heitkamp campaign, naturally, edits out the part where Berg gives the girl the right answer almost right away).

Here’s the Heitkamp ad:

Here’s the original footage in which you can clearly hear Berg say right away that the minimum wage is “seven something,” which is right. It’s $7.25/hour.

I wonder if the Heitkamp campaign really thinks that this sort of untruthful political attack, not to mention aligning themselves with Ed Schultz of all people, is going to help them win in ND.
