UND student senate now considering their own vote against Chancellor Shirvani

The UND Student Senate, in the wake of the North Dakota Student Association’s vote of “no confidence” in North Dakota University System Chancellor Hamid Shirvani, introduced a resolution calling for its own vote Sunday.

Authored by Sen. Jacob Gapp, graduate student, a draft of the resolution states Shirvani “has not acted in the best interest of students during his time as chancellor, and … has been unable to form good relationships with students, staff and legislators.”

However, a vote on the resolution was tabled until next week so senators can gather more information.
