North Dakota’s economic advantage expected to narrow

BISMARCK, N.D. (GPN) – A top economic analyst says North Dakota’s economy still rates as the nation’s best, but other states will be catching up soon.

Steve Cochrane is a managing director for the Moody’s Analytics forecasting firm. Moody’s works with North Dakota state government in predicting tax collections for the next two years.

Cochrane says although North Dakota’s growth rate is slowing a bit. And he’s expecting a national economic recovery over the next two years. He says that will narrow North Dakota’s advantage.
