ND’s new smoking ban causing confusion, state slow getting information to businesses

Chips Casino is one of those businesses that is unsure what it will do with its smoking hut.

“Once you get into the law you realize there are a lot of requirements,” said John Boyle, director of facility management at the state Capitol.

Boyle said there are designated smoking areas on the Capitol grounds and he thinks all of them are 20 feet from any entrances. There is a smoking hut outside the judicial wing that might have to be removed.
