ND legislator faints at capitol

BISMARCK, N.D. (GPN) – A North Dakota state lawmaker was taken to a Bismarck hospital Friday after he fainted in a state Capitol hallway.

Colleagues say Gary Kriedt (KRYT) is doing well. It isn’t known what caused him to pass out. He’s undergone some tests at Bismarck’s Sanford Health hospital. The hospital isn’t releasing information about his condition.

The 71-year-old Kriedt was walking back from a hearing on the Department of Human Services budget when he collapsed in a hallway between the North Dakota House and Senate chambers.
