Look, there are women…

The White House releases a photo showing women among senior staff meeting with President Obama after a front-page story in the New York Times Wednesday pointed out that appointments have skewed toward men under Obama.

In the new photo (above) taken Tuesday, from left: Kathryn Ruemmler, Counsel to the President; Mike Froman, Deputy National Security Advisor for International Economics; Chief of Staff Jack Lew; Senior Advisor Valerie Jarrett; Counselor to the President Pete Rouse; Nancy-Ann DeParle, Deputy Chief of Staff for Policy; Senior Advisor David Plouffe; and Director of Communications Dan Pfeiffer.

The move also follows the release last week of a photo (below) showing Obama meeting with top aides — every one a man — during fiscal cliff negotiations.
