Limbaugh: For the first time I’m ashamed of my country

On his Thursday program, conservative talker Rush Limbaugh said he is “ashamed” of his country, specifically lamenting both the apparent lack of fiscal discipline in Washington and media coverage of ongoing budget negotiations.

It is particularly galling, Limbaugh said, that politicians and analysts are resisting the prospect of cutting $44 billion from the federal budget through sequestration.

“Ladies and gentlemen, for the first time in my life, I am ashamed of my country,” Limbaugh said. “Seriously man, here we get worked up over $44 billion. That’s the total amount of money that will not be spent that was scheduled to be spent this year.”

Ive always said…..the SHTF when the “market” finally realizes the powers that be will not or cannot slow down the spending, let alone actually make some literal cuts.
I cant say I’m ashamed, I’m insulted at how the left and their media puppets (or vise versa -not sure) fill the low information citizens with the crap that this is some kind of crisis……..and I guess I am ashamed that that many citizens would accept it as gospel.
The Left cannot cut or stop spending—-it would expose them as simply not needed, as disposable, expendable.

Most people are on dole now. The collapse will happen in short order; good luck, it’s been a slice.

I guess old Rushbo slept through some of the bumpy parts.

Rushbo is most likely proud of that, like so many SAB conservatives who confuse racism with liberty.

        You know about that, huh?

Some of it is just outright racism, like you see in awfulorvs comments, others try to hide their racism by having different standards for blacks than they do whites. For some “strange” reason, they are more offended by black behavior, but not so much when whites do the same thing. Then they claim it’s not race related, because they didn’t use the word black. That sort of game is pretty disgusting.

You mean that “dog whistle” of racism liberals invoke whenever they are badly loosing an argument ?
That sort of game is pretty disgusting.

way Hannitized, if you re-read what you wrote, and considering the
fact that neither this post, or any of the comments besides yours had
anything to do with race, you just accused everybody who disagrees with
            you of having racist motives.

On the matter of those racist dog whistles all these middle-age white
liberals keep hearing, the Wall Street Journal’s James Taranto put it
very well: “The thing we adore about these dog-whistle kerfuffles is
that the people who react to the whistle always assume it’s intended for
somebody else,” he wrote. “The whole point of the metaphor is that if
you can hear the whistle, you’re the dog.” And a very rare breed at

More like they would be mutts rather then dogs, or is that racist in their eyes also? Heh

What are you babbling about? Are you trying to say that you and everyone I disagree with has different standards for whites, when compared to blacks?

El Rushbo is and has been great help to Democrats. They should be refilling his Oxycontin scripts.
