Largest player in the Bakken wants to triple production in next five years

Increased Bakken acres to 1,139,799 at the end of 2012 in the Bakken oil play along with the recent discovery of it’s play in Oklahoma has led to an overall 2012 year-end increase of 54% proven reserves for the company.

The increase numbers in 2012 have grown Continentals proven reserves over 40% per year since the end of 2009.

As the largest leaseholder in the Bakken, the company has major plans involved in testing the lower Three Forks benches with a 14-well program.
