Clinton Called for Armed Cops in Schools After Columbine

Now that the NRA has made its statement in response to the Sandy Hook shootings, and liberals’ heads are exploding everywhere about it, and even conservative publications like Forbes and the New York Post are full of criticism, I found this old article particularly compelling.

According to the sourcelink, after the Columbine shootings, President CLINTON called for federal money to put police in schools. 452 officers in more than 220 community schools, in fact.

“As we prepare next week to mark the one-year anniversary of the tragedy at Columbine High School, our thoughts turn to the safety of our communities, schools and children,” Clinton said. “All of us–parents, schools, communities and government–share responsibility to keep kids safe.”
Anyone hear anything from Clinton after Sandy Hook? I’m just curious.

but, if they would do that…….they’d maybe never have a crisis too good to waste….wouldnt make sense to them then.

Did Clinton fund this idea?……..ironic, because Obama took away funding for school security in the last couple of years: were these those funds?………were they just diverted to various Educ. Union “needs”?

Those funds were moved to blocking the immigration laws from stopping the flow and protecting the boarders. You know, need more democrat voters.

Well, yeah, but Clinton was a Democrat so that’s different,

I’m not convinced that it’s the right is now, but maybe its time to stop pretending that the NRA is a bunch of murderous psychos.
