Hate Crime In Fargo?

The article doesn’t indicate that the vandalization of a religious store in Fargo was a “hate crime,” but it seems awfully coincidental that it occurred just as the debate over a ten commandments monument on Fargo city property heats up.

Fargo-area liberals were quick to cry out “hate crime” when a gay man was attacked in neighboring Moorhead (an attack that turned out later to be a lie).  But nobody seems to be talking about this crime being motivated by anti-Christian hate.

By the way, the city commissioners voted to keep the monument today despite the whiny pouting of Fargo Forum opinion editor Jack Zalesky).  That’s not a decision I support personally, but it’s certainly one more in keeping with the majority of Fargo’s citizens who clearly wanted to keep the monument.

Rob, I agree on your “hate crime” post.  Once that can of worms is opened, then the degree of “hate” can be considered.  It can not be defined, so we are once again dealing with emotions and not facts.  The fact that one person does not like another is almost always the reason for murder or robbery.  Just address the behavior and stop trying to make blanket statements on someone’s supposed “hate”.  I agree, it appears that this religious store may have been targeted because of Fargo’s disagreement on the Ten Commandments being placed upon public property.

It is not a hate crime, per se, it is an imposition of will.  Imposing your will on others is Verboten.

The Red River Valley Free Stinkers aren’t thinking at all.  What they do and have done is stinking to high heaven.  They’re skunks of the worst order.
