Harvey Tea Party To Feature Every Republican Candidate For Federal Office

If you think North Dakota Republicans haven’t taken the tea party message to heart, think again. The three House candidates (PSC Kevin Cramer, Rep. Rick Berg and Paul Schaffner) will be in attendance, as will Governor John Hoeven and his challenger Paul Sorum.
We can argue about to what extent each candidate may embrace the ideals of the tea parties (especially when it comes to Governor Hoeven), but certainly each of them is taking the movement seriously. They clearly feel that the people who make up the tea party movement need to be addressed.
Which means we tea party activists are not being ignored.
Again, the attendance of these candidates at this event does not imply any sort of an endorsement but rather an opportunity for the candidates to speak to tea party activists and be evaluated by them.
If you’d like to attend, the event will be held at the Harvey armory at 2:00pm tomorrow, Sunday, January 31st.
In addition to the candidates, I’ll be speaking as will SAB contributor and guest radio host for myself and Scott Hennen, Gene Graner.

I guess its official the Tea Party movement was hijacked by Republicans. Why not invite the any of the candidates of the party that actually started the Tea Party movement. Afterall the LP party is more conservative then republicans.

We have had the same response in Florida … pols are tripping over themselves to befriend tea partyers … Just bring your first principles to get a speakers birth. Marco Rubio has attended 6 or 7 tea party events, our local R rep has been to two and held one townhall just for tea party people.

It’s worked far better than anyone ever imagined.

We have to work with the candidates we have at hand.

And there is no endorsement of these candidates intended. They are there to
introduce themselves to the crowd. this isn’t a rally for them.

And by the way, the LP didn’t start the tea party movement. Not the one in
ND anyway. I did, along with a number of other good people who did it for
themselves and not any party at all.

The Libertarians never bothered to build grass roots organizations. Even today I believe that they don’t understand the strength of grass root organizations like the tea parties.
