Harry Reid Talking Out Of Both Sides Of His Mouth Again

Harry Reid yesterday: I’m sticking with General Petraeus.
Harry Reid today: I don’t care what Petraeus says, we’re losing in Iraq.

Isn’t it amazing how Senator Reid can tell us two things that are the polar opposite of one another and then expect us to believe that both are true?
It takes a special kind of jerk to vote to appoint a general, speak publicly about believing in that general and a desire to “stick” with what he says, and then turn around and say that if the general talks about anything positive in Iraq it’s not going to be believed.
This does tell us quite a bit about the Democrat position on Iraq. They don’t care what’s actually happening on the ground. They just want it to be a miserable defeat for President Bush’s foreign policy so they can use it in their political machinations. That it would be a miserable defeat for this country as a whole is apparently neither here nor there for them.

The defeatist message is Harry Reids way! He needs to resign!

Reid is a perfect example of the old saw ‘Don’t confuse me with facts, my mind is already made up’. The people that keep electing him must be really stupid.

I believe Harry Truman said, “The only thing new is the history you haven’t read.” Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it.

Tokyo Rose, during World War II, had the best music on her station and most people just laughed. The Japanese developed a way to demoralize the American forces. Psychological warfare experts developed a message they felt would work. They gave the script to their famous broadcaster, “Tokyo Rose”, and every day she would broadcast this same message, packaged in different ways, hoping it would have a negative impact on American GI’s morale. What was that demoralizing message?

    It had three main points:

    1. Your President is lying to you.

    2. This war is illegal.

    3. You cannot win the war.

Does this sound familiar? Is it because Tokyo Hillary, Tokyo Harry, Tokyo John, Tokyo Teddy, Tokyo Nancy, have picked up the same message and are broadcasting it on Tokyo CNN, Tokyo ABC, Tokyo CBS, Tokyo NBC, to our TROOPS?

The only difference is that they claim to support our troops before they demoralize them. Come to think of it, Tokyo Rose told the troops she was on their side, too!

This was an Email Message sent to me by a friend, I thought it spoke to this issue rather well!

Boy, it is awfully quiet in here. Where are all the leftie commenters defending their brave leader?

Some of our leftie commenters do this all the time. Nothing new from his side of the aisle.

This cynical posturing by Reid makes me heartsick for our country and the brave young people trying to defeat our enemies and protect us! What would the foreign policy of an Obama or a Hillary look like? Would they try to pretend that world organizations and a legalistic approach to Islamism will be our protection? And slime ball Reid, surely someone can dig up some CORRUPTION he’s involved in?…

That happens all the time. The libs on this blog ignore the more inconvenient examples of liberal bad-faith and hypocrisy.
