Harry Reid: I Don’t Care About Sotomayor’s Rulings, I’m Supporting Her Because She’s Liberal

That’s basically what this means:

Virtually every Senator who’s asked about Sonia Sotomayor defaults to a riff about how they’re withholding judgment until they have an opportunity to nest in leather-bound chairs to her writings in scholarly solitude for hours and hours.
Not Harry, he’s good to go.
“I understand that during her career, she’s written hundreds and hundreds of opinions. I haven’t read a single one of them, and if I’m fortunate before we end this, I won’t have to read one of them,” the majority leader told reporters at the Capitol on Tuesday.

I understand that most of the people in Congress are partisan hacks. When it comes to judicial appointments, they’re mostly going to support or oppose based on whether or not they’re in the same party as the President. But you expect these people to at least pretend like they’re making decisions based on their analysis of the facts and not just toeing the party line.

That’s a really great reason to support Ms. Sotomayor…… not on the virtue of her decisions…. just because she’s a liberal.

Very indicative of how they have legislated since 2006. “Not because it’s the correct thing, because it’s liberal.”

That methodology is working out so well for us…..

Then again, I’m just a regular old “white-guy”……

No bill going through the house or senate can be longer than one paragraph, so they can all read it before signing.

    What a bunch of dolts.

Pick the next 535 out of the phone book, and we’ll have better representation.

Dirty Harry Reid is a disgrace and I curse the people of Nevada for continually foisting him upon the rest of us.

No Rob, I expect no less of them – most did not even read these stimulus they voted on, which in turn makes me wonder just how much gets voted on by persuasion from PAC’s, Lobbyist, and Party Line and not actually reading thedetails of what is being voted on.

In other words, makes me wonder how many are actually doing thier jobs. Trained monkeys sound like they would work for cheaper and do the same amount of work.
