What’s particularly frustrating is that Reid outright lied in his response to the vet asking him the question. Reid said this:
There’s never been any suggestion that the military will not get everything they need.
But just three days ago Reid was announcing legislation that would, unequivocally, cut off funds for the troops in Iraq. And before that Reid was pretending like the Dems’ delay in approving an appropriations bill for the war in Iraq wasn’t going to put the military in a funding crunch.
Pardon my French, but it takes a special kind of bastard to tell such blatant lies to the public. To the face of a citizen who just happens to be a decorated war veteran, no less.
