Harry Reid: The American People Don’t Care About The Tea Party

Written By:

Is that so? Well then why is everyone always talking about it then?

What’s pretty ironic is that Harry Reid say the number of people who approve of the tea party is small according to a CNN poll. Well, according to that CNN poll the number is 32% approving.

That’s not small. What’s more, the poll said the same number of people who disapprove of the tea party…also disapprove of Republicans and Democrats:

Forty-seven percent say they view the Tea Party in the same negative light as the Democratic and Republican parties, according to the CNN/Opinion Research survey. The Tea Party numbers are up 21 percentage points from January 2010.

The poll finds 32% of Americans have a favorable view of the Tea Party, down five points from December, shortly after movement supporters helped elect a GOP majority in the U.S. House

I think Americans are just pretty fed up with the way they’re being governed in general. And who can blame them? When we can only muster the political will to pass a budget cutting just 2% of the record-setting budget deficit, what else are Americans supposed to think?
