Harry Reid Says Republicans Should Drop “Tea Party Extremists”

It has been over 1,000 days since the Democrat-controlled Senate passed a budget in committee, let alone through a vote of the whole chamber. The national debt is on track to have grown by $6.2 trillion since President Obama took office by the end of this year, an amount more than the national debt created by every previous President from George Washington to Bill Clinton.

Our national debt is now larger than the value of our entire economy. But who are the extremists according to Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid?

Why, those nasty tea partiers who want to shrink the national debt.

I don’t think it’s unreasonable to think that a budget deficit that is over $1 trillion every year is more extreme than believing the government should live within its means.

Sure Harry – just as soon as you Dems kick all the commies out of your party.

Priceless: Reid asking Boehner to file articles of impeachment against Obama.

Where?  I played the clip 16 times and didn’t hear anything about impeachment.

From what is left of the Repubican Candidates the Tea Party has been ousted.

    • Anonymous

Nah, they have just begun. The Tea Party is not a formal group with a leader. It is a composit of citizens who are fed up with high taxes and big government. Unlike liberals, they don’t need a messiah because they have a 224 year old Constitution to guide them.

“nasty tea partiers who want to shrink the national debt”, by making sure million billionaires don’t pay taxes.
That’ll clear the decks of debt.

Class war won’t solve the debt problem either.

First, I am sure every Republican is rushing to take Harry’s advice, the leader of the most feckless, do nothing Senate in our history. Yawn!

Next, the GOP House and the Senate will have another crisis over raising the debt limit, the GOP will feel the heat and the debt will be hiked without any real cuts in spending being made. It will all be smoke and mirrors and business as usual.

Third, we are a nation hopelessly divided, paralyzed and even if we get a new POTUS and the GOP takes over the Senate, the communi. . ., excuse me, Democrat Party will still be there gumming up the works and we have not seen any establishment GOP leaders able to defeat them.

So you think Harry is right.  Awesome.

Republicans have rejected the TEA party extremism, as is obvious with the way the presidential election is going.
Look how nicely y’all fell in line behind Mittens.

    • RaisedbyaPackofWildLiberals

What, precisely, have you seen the Tea Party do that is “extremist?”

      • Anonymous

The very notion that the TEA party is correct on everything, and everybody else is wrong is a sign of extremism.

        • RaisedbyaPackofWildLiberals

Why is it, then, that I have seen this attitude in the Liberals much more so than the Conservatives?  I have had much more experience with extremist Liberals trying to squelch the first amendment rights of Conservatives.  The Fargo Forum being one glaring example.  Aren’t we all Americans and isn’t Freedom of Speech a sacred right and aren’t “diverse” views celebrated?

          • Anonymous

            well said…

Notice that Liberals think that just the desire for basic god given human rights and freedoms………is an ideology..

          • RaisedbyaPackofWildLiberals

Thank you.  I only wish that they had the upbringing to know what all of that means.

          • borborygmi

”Aren’t we all Americans”   Not according to Tea Partiers and Conservatives.  They are the “real Americans”,   just ask.

    “This election is lost.”

I’m sure Harry reid is very concerned about the Republican Party. Democrats project their fears openly.

  • Hannitized, Proofs obsession

Harry Reid is ready to fix government by stating we need to work together and do what needs to be done.  What needs to be done to fix government would never be accepted by the radical, right-wing Tea Party because they live in a fantasy world where over simplifying complex problems has become their mantra.

Lose the dim-wits and gets shit done!

    • JustRuss

What exactly, is the democrat plan for bringing budgets under control and paying down the national debt? What exactly are the republicans not doing or stopping from happening?

      • Hannitized, Proofs obsession

Are you asking because you haven’t been paying attention and don’t know, or are you asking so you can argue about the Democrats plan and policies for bringing the budget under control?

  • Anonymous

Harry Reid is a huge part of the problem in government.
We can thank him and Pelosi for obstructing the process of halting Barny Frank
and Chris Dodd while they mismanaged the housing bubble caused by the Democrat debacle
of Fanny Mae and Fredy Mac. We can thank the Democrats for the economic
    disaster that followed.
