Happy Easter

Once again our Easter Bunny trap was sprung but somehow the Easter Bunny got away.  This year we dropped the stick and box trap and went with a different design.  But we had the same results.

Well there’s always next year.

He’s a very elusive creature, that Easter Bunny....

If we would have got the Easter Bunny we would have got ALL the Easter Eggs.

What’s going to happen to US industry when the global warming extremists like John McCain double the price of electricity?  I would think all these factories will close and set up in countries where they aren’t scared of technology.

Whistler,
I have not thought of a rabbit box trap in years.
Every spring, after our garden was planted we would always set out box rabbit traps. Rabbits would eat up a garden in just a few days.
We always pulled them in at Easter time, to give the Easter Rabbit an opportunity to deliver his goods without the threat of frying in Ma’s(Bless her sole) frying pan.
Our rabbit boxes were long rectangular enclosures, bait at the back, trap door at the front, with the triggering mechanism that ran atop the box.
Hope that is what you a alluding to, otherwise people will think of me as a nut.

No me and the kids were setting the old style stick and a box trap, where the Easter Bunny goes to eat the carrots, knocks over the stick and is trapped.

Of course we weren’t going to eat the Easter Bunny, just keep all of the jelly beans for ourselves.  (We’d share with people we like of course.)

The trap you refer to is more akin to a gonkulator.  Who gets that reference?

Sphag your google works, but I see that it’s supposed to be spelled Gonculater.

Here you go.

Sgt. Carter who was from North Dakota as I’m sure you know built a rabbit trap so that the one and only French Hero, Louis Lebeau could make him a special dish.

For some reason Col Hogan added some radio parts to the rabbit trap to fool Col. Klink.  He called it the Gonculator and it was some kind of secret device the allies had developed.

Anyway it all worked out and the Nazi’s were foiled again.  The Gonculator burned up but it was suitable to catch rabbits.

I always had trouble with the the foot feed, brake pad belts, kanooking valve, and wobbling shaft every time I cranked up my gonculator.
