Happy 4th Of July

To celebrate, here is a video of 16,000 firecrackers being set of consecutively.

Why? Because it's awesome.

Hope you all are enjoying the holiday.

One fourth of July I was at my brothers and we weere setting off fireworks.  We had a large bonfire goig.

We were sitting some way back from the fire, but my nephew was doing something right next to the bonfire.  He was about 12 at the time.

I went to see what he was doing.  When I left I just happened to throw a large brick of firecrackers in the fire.

I got all of the way back to where we were sitting before they went off.  Scared the crap out of him.

All the days of pyromania.

Each year I look back in amazement that I still have all my fingers.

Yes, I recall a pop bottle rocket with my brothers.  It was really fun.

I was holding the launching platform and my spare ammunition in my left hand.  Unfortunately in one of my reprisals the rocket in the launching platform set off the spare ammunition that was in the same hand.

Of course I was busy dodging the totally unprovoked attack by my brothers upon me.  In my gyrations to to avoid their rockets I didn’t notice the lit rockets in my hand.

It hurt a lot.  Always fun until someone gets hurt.  I think that’s why the words I type come out wrong somehow.  Other than that I’m fine.

There is nothing so inspiring to a real American than mass quantities of fireworks going off on the 4th of July, at least to me.

That looks like a video where something should have gone horribly, horribly wrong.
