Hannity Replaces Alan Colmes With Meatloaf, Al Sharpton

And a rotating panel of other guests:

The new Alan Colmes-less Hannity premieres Monday with frequent Fox News guest Al Sharpton filling the liberal seat on Sean Hannity’s newly christened “Great American Panel.”
Rep. Michelle Bachman (R-Minn.) will fill the seat on the right. (And she should have plenty to talk about given the Senate dispute in her state between Al Franken and Norm Coleman.)
The X-factor on the panel: Meatloaf.
Monday’s show will include a sit-down with George W. Bush. Hannity will conduct the interview Friday at the White House.
Hannity will employ a rotating panel in lieu of a permanent ideological counterpoint.

I was never much of a fan of the show, but I can’t imagine it working without Colmes.

Colmes has been out in the light too long, he had to leave the show to crawl back in his coffin. As for Hannity, he needs to take a long, long vacation. I think he’s on the verge of getting on my nerves.

It was rare for Clomes to accomplish anything more than voice the platitudes of the political opposition. Perhaps in doing so he was the perfect demonstration of the ridiculousness of the the liberal left arguments. Watching Hannity and Colmes was kind of like “whack-a-mole”. As soon as Alan said anything, Sean would strike back and bash him over the head with the pure simplicity of his logic.

If I were staffing that show I’d beat a path to Camille Paglias’ door . She’s one of the smartest broads around and, because of her sexual preference, she’d take viewers away from msnbcs’ Maddow.

So their primetime opinion-driven news shows are hosted by Glenn Beck, Bill O’Reilly and Sean Hannity? Have they just given up on the pretense of fairness?

I don’t know much about Glenn Beck.

Bill O’reilly is far from a strong conservative, he just so happens to have a particular distaste for liberals.

I prefer sean hannity’s radio show to hannity & colmes, only because I disliked Colmes’ position as the political foil and punching bag. If they’re going to pit strong-willed hannity up against… well… wimpy colmes, they may as well come out and call it what it is: conservative apologetics.

I don’t mind that, but the least they can do is be forthright.

    IS meatloaf a liberal??

He’s actually pretty clever. He has a program called a rock and a hard place.

    He’s good on it.

I hope Hannity uses him if he is a liberal. Entertaining stuff.

They need to replace Colmes with someone who can actually put together a coherent argument for the left, and Hannity needs to go as well. I hadn’t watched the show for close to 2 months and turned it on the other night and thought I was watching a rerun. Hannity recycles EVERY argument at least 50 times, and he tried to control the show too much…

Yes, Fox News does a good job of demonstrating ridiculous liberal arguments.

Does Alan live in faculty housing with his pointy head wife, or does he live off campus?

Fairness to a liberal is an argument that agrees with all their viewpoints.

Did I just slip, and fall into the twilight zone?

    Al Sharpton and Meatloaf?!

I think Alan made the show and I thought it was a good show.

I thought he employed Colmes instead of a permanent ideological counterpoint.

Dittos the Colmes replacement. He was pathetic.

    HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!

Like there is a coherent argument for the left.

The Hannity and Colmes show was too much over the top for me. I never warmed up to Colmes annoying style and Hannity is way too ultra right wing for my taste. Now Glen Beck on the other hand is entertaining plus he comes across as sincere.
