Halle Berry Makes Anti-Semitic Remark

And Jay Leno’s crew does some editorial whitewashing for her.

October 23, 2007 — HALLE Berry was apologizing last night after she’d made an apparent anti-Semitic joke while taping “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno” Friday afternoon.

The Oscar-winning star, on the show to promote her movie “Things We Lost in the Fire,” was showing Leno and his audience images of herself on her computer using the Mac program Photo Booth, which distorts images like a carnival fun-house mirror.

According to one audience member, “She introduced the first photo by saying, ‘Here’s where I look like my Jewish cousin!’ - it was a picture of her with a huge, distorted nose. No one laughed, and Jay nervously said, ‘I’m glad you said that and not me.’ When the show aired, they cut out her ‘Jewish’ comment and added a laugh track to the bit.”

It’s ok folks.  I have it on good authority that Halle Berry is black, and we all know from listening to liberals that minorities can’t be racist.  They’re the victims people.  We, the whites, are the oppressors.

Now, if Karl Rove had cracked jokes about his “Jewish cousin” on the Tonight Show it’d be a different matter.  And something tells me that Jay Leno wouldn’t have altered the record for him either.

Here’s the video.  The editing is pretty obvious.

What’s going to happen to US industry when the global warming extremists like John McCain double the price of electricity?  I would think all these factories will close and set up in countries where they aren’t scared of technology.

Karl Rove was/is the President’s
brain.

Halle Berry is an actress.
That’s a judgment call.

HALLE Berry is black.
That’s a judgment call.

Joking that Hebrews have big noses is “Anti-Semitic”?

Let’s not jump the gun.

Doesn’t sound anti-Semitic to me, sounds just like the kind of things us Jews say about each other. Of course it would be an entirely diffrent story if a Jew had commented on her lips…

Let’s not jump the gun.

It was popular with the Nazis to characterize Jews as having hook noses and this stereotype has been carried on today by certain antisemitic groups so I’d say the association is clear.  Whether Halle Berry is really antisemitic or just stupid, I don’t know.

Whatever Dave.

People have made fun of the big Hebrew nose for thousands of years before the Nazis even existed.

That’s not to say that the joke wasn’t in poor taste, but let’s not jump the gun.

You keep saying “she’s black.” She’s bi-racial.  Her mother is white and her father is black.  She possibly has a jewish cousin and maybe they’ve joked around about it before.  It could have been just bad judgement on her part because it was national television, but even black people make comments about the noses and lips of black people and so do white people about each other.  Don’t get so carried away for goodness sake.

You have a link for the Jewish cousin thing?

The point is if a white conservative had done that it would have NOT been edited out and the news media would have found someone willing to go ballistic over it.

It could have been worse. If she had denied the Holocaust she’d have risked imprisonment. Thought crimes suck. She still may wind up in a re-education camp (i.e. sensitivity training) after all this anyway. Expect a sizeable public donation to a suitable charity made sometime in the near future.

Rob misses a golden opportunity.

More “mocha” than “golden” I think!

For any voter trying to choose between the two candidates for commander in chief, there is no better test than this: When American strategy in a critical theater was up for grabs, John McCain proposed a highly unpopular and risky path, which he accurately predicted could lead to success. Barack Obama proposed a popular and politically safe route that would have led to an unnecessary and debilitating American defeat at the hands of al Qaeda.

I think Halle Berry is protected by freedom of speech. She can’t be punished for making any statements because it wasn’t directly against one particular person. There are no laws in the U.S. that prohibit opinion statements. She may of said racial slurs but it doesn’t mean she can get punished for it. She can only ruin her reputation in the Jewish community, which may affect her acting career.
