Gun Control In Perspective

If you’re going to ban something you should at least know what it is, right?

Right?

Really, though.  That was almost painful to watch.  Hilarious, but painful.  I almost felt sorry for McCarthy.  It’s not fun to embarrass and disgrace yourself on national television.

Rob, I got a ‘this video is no longer available’.

It’s working for me, but I just uploaded the video.  Sometimes it takes a while for uploaded video to percolate through all of YouTube’s servers so that it’s available to everyone.

When the people fear their government, there is tyranny; when the government fears the people, there is liberty.

Holy Shit! Is Tucker wearing a tie?

Just some more liberal mindless legislation.  All she knows is that guns are BAD!!

Not me! She deserves to be exposed as the ignoramus she is! Unfortunately, I fear that the only way our Congress Critters do know what’s in the legislation they are signing is when their staff explains it to them!

Too bad he didn’t ask her about “bayonet lugs”. Lots of drive-by bayonetting where I come from!

And nothing makes a 40” long rifle more concealable under your coat when you’re robbing a liquor store than sticking a 12” bayonet on the end!

Proof, such a tiny little blade for such a nice rifle! tsktsk I carry the 18 inch GI-issue Garand bayonet on my webgear. That is 14” of blade, 4” of hilt. The 12 is 8” of blade and 4” of hilt.

This clip clearly demonstrates the disconnect on this issue in the AGC. They have no idea what the hell they are talking about. The preferred weapon of you average gangbanger is the cheapest pistol they can find, or the most expensive. Longarms of any type fall way down the list.

I well remember the hoopla from the first incarnation of this crap. According to FBI and State law enforcement stats it had zero effect on crime. And no change after it dropped.

This is an outstanding example of something I have long said:

“Legislators the have a deep and abiding contempt for, or ignorance of, our Constitutional rights.”

Good intentions will always be pleaded for every assumption of authority. It is hardly too strong to say that the Constitution was made to guard the people against the dangers of good intentions. There are men in all ages who mean to govern well, but they mean to govern. They promise to be good masters, but they mean to be masters.
Daniel Webster

As I remember it, more people were kicked to death with hob-nailed boots than were killed with “assault rifles”.

When boots are outlawed, only outlaws will have boots!

I got no end of grief from Parade Ground Soldiers about my non-issue length boot laces. Oh, and they were not wild about them being parachute line, either. I quickly started keeping a pair of boots strictly for inspection and formal occasion wear.
