Guiliani Cut Taxes 23 Times?

I was just listening to the Sean Hannity show while he had Rudy Guiliani as a guest.  They were saying that Rudy cut taxes 23 times while he was mayor of New York.  The tax cuts should have cost the city 9 Billion dollars, but instead the city revenues went up 13 Billion.

I’m not much of a Guiliani fan, but this did impress me a tad.

Yeah? What about new fees and other cute euphemisms that represent taxes in all but name? That is where these politicians get our money, cut taxes and raise old fees and create new ones.

No matter the age or state of health, for a military man it is always glorious to tilt at windmills, rescue a fair Dulcinea and be a gallant knight in armor in a glorious cause.

Smells like spin to me.  Sure, Ruday may be able to “say” that he cut taxes 200 times, but can anyone in New York City say “my taxes went down”?

I wanna hear from that guy.
