Guest Post: Heidi Heitkamp Is Insulting The Intelligence Of North Dakotans
11:18am
Is Heidi Heitkamp lying? Is the Democratic party so dead in ND that she needs to run from associating herself from it? Or does she think we are so dumb that she can get by with spewing some of the most disingenuous rhetoric in ND political history?
I just brought in the Saturday mail. In it was a big flashy flyer from the Heitkamp campaign encouraging us to vote by mail. It says..”As our next U.S. Senator, she’ll set party interests aside, put country first and focus on creating jobs, cutting spending, balancing the budget and protecting North Dakota.”
Her “amazing” friend Barack Obama promised to put party interests aside too. Did he? NO! Check our her campaign contributors. All ultra left wing, usual suspect liberal, Democratic special interests. Does anyone honestly think they are funding her campaign so she’ll put their interests aside if she wins? NO!
She promises to vote for Harry Reid as Senate leader, how has he done at putting country first, creating jobs, cutting spending and balancing the budget since he took over in 2007? HORRIBLE!! And the seat she seeks is now held by the Chairman of the Senate Budget Committee, Kent Conrad, who failed to follow the law and produce a budget let alone a balanced one. And honestly, when have Democrats ever cut spending on anything but defense?
As for protecting North Dakotans, how so? Like the most innocent among us? Ms. Heitkamp is a fraudulent Catholic that supports killing unborn children and who takes blood money from the butchers at Planned Parenthood. Her second biggest campaign contributor is a law firm that files lawsuits to stop fracing, a key ingredient in the ND Oil Boom. That would kill jobs and harm North Dakotans. She attacks business success with lies about a company she claims Rick Berg owns as well as his personal wealth. Will she do that to other successful North Dakotan’s? How does that protect us?
The one thing most people say about Heidi Heitkamp is that she is “nice”. That may be. I’ve always found her to be very cunning and cool to answering questions from a conservative perspective (a viewpoint shared by a majority of North Dakotans, which explains the vaudville act we are getting from her campaign).
I’d rather she run an honest campaign about who she is and what she stands for, and not insult the intelligence of good North Dakota people with these laughable, empty platitudes. Wouldn’t we have to be moronic to actually believe these promises would resemble her record if, God-forbid, North Dakotan’s naively decide to put a female version of Al Franken in the U.S. Senate?
