Grand Forks Herald Worships John Hoeven

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

This is got to be one of the most sycophant passages the Herald has ever put in one of their editorials.

Gov. John Hoeven has shown himself to be a skilled steward of state government. You don’t inherit a state with no budget reserve and then lead it to a position where it enjoys not only a record surplus, but also below-average unemployment and above-average growth in personal income and the Gross State Product, without knowing what you’re doing.

Right, the guy is so all powerful (in the Herald editorial board room) that he can raise the price of oil to unheard of heights.  And when he should be resting from that notable accomplishment he did a bang up job raising the price of farm commodities to record levels as well.

Wow, I never knew that the guy was oh so powerful that he controls world markets.  Maybe he’s one of those 92 degree Masons or whatever that rule the world from the Tri-Lateral Commission or whatever it is.

You have to wonder if the big-wigs at the Herald are trying to outdo The Onion.
