I mentioned this on Monday, but if anyone can attend this meeting and take notes (or even record it) I’d greatly appreciate it.
Now I’ve just heard that the Alerus Commission has a meeting at 3pm to discuss the contract with Venuworks.

Grand Forks, ND – The GF Alerus Center Commission/Executive Committee will meet today, November 4, 2009 at 3:00 p.m. at The Alerus Center.

Discussion item for the agenda is VenuWorks Management Contract.

I wonder why it is that they have these meetings to screw the taxpayers when the taxpayers are working and can’t participate?  Something about that I just don’t understand.

I guess I’m glad that the Alerus is announcing the meeting rather than holding them in complete secrecy.  But I don’t think that 2 1/2 hours notice is really adequate to satisfy the law.  You’re supposed to notify the public in a reasonable amount of time.  Can everyone just drop what they’re doing to protect their rights in that short of time?
