Governor Hoeven Endorses Dwight Grotberg
10:59pm
Just got a press release from the Grotberg campaign indicating that Governor Hoeven has officially endorsed Dwight to replace Senator Kent Conrad. Here’s the text of the Governor’s statement.

“As a North Dakota farmer and businessman, Dwight Grotberg has a strong knowledge of the challenges and opportunities that we face in our state. Dwight Grotberg is a man of character, and I endorse his bid to represent North Dakota in the U.S. Senate. I encourage you to get to know him, and support him with your vote this November.”
I think the key part of the Governor’s endorsement is the part where he acknowledges that Grotberg lives and works in North Dakota. Senator Conrad, as has been pointed out repeatedly on this blog, doesn’t live in North Dakota any more. He just visits when it is time for a photo-op or an election campaign.
