Here’s a brash, 13-year-old upstart who thought he could just work his way to prosperity by starting a business on private property and challenging the politically well-connected restaurants in their government protected downtown commerce zone.

Turns out he was wrong.

When it comes to this kid’s hot dog business, President Obama is right. He didn’t build that. Because the government wouldn’t let him.

It’s a sad day in America when government-protected cartels, and government revenues, are more important than level playing fields and competition.
