Got Some Illegals In North Dakota
Well...North Dakota officials found some illegal immigrants. It just appears as though they aren't going to do anything about it.
Amazing, isn't it? This company hires seven illegal immigrants, but when he gets caught with them all he has to do is fill out a few forms, pay a fine and he's back at work. I have no idea what the officials did with the illegals.
This is not how we're going to stop illegal immigration. These workers should be deported as soon as possible and the business owner should be facing some criminal charges.
KFYR - It was a busy day on the Lenhart family's lawn today. Officials from several government agencies came upon a number of unlicensed and illegal immigrant workers during compliance checks today.
The Lenharts had no idea they were hiring illegal workers- they asked all the right questions. they just didn't get truthful answers.
Usevius Lenhart said, "The guy that I spoke to first said they were licensed and bonded, they're awful good workers."
The lenharts say they were happy with the work done on their house, but government officials now have their eye on S and G. Not only were 7 illegal immigrant workers found, the workers were not licensed or bonded, and insurance and workers comp fees had not been paid. The owner of S and G spoke to us by phone, and he denies intentionally violating any laws.
Robert Stroh, owner of S and G, said, "I was always under the impression that the subcontractor carries his own license, and he pays the workers comp and unemployment, but on his own employees, and by me hiring him my only concern is that I have to have that subcontractor covered."
S and G says it plans on complying with the law immediately, and they hope to be back at work in a few days.
