It is arrogant for man to think he can fine-tune the ecosystem. Global warming is natural, as is the eventual demise of humankind.

Man's great civilization, Art, Architecture, Music, etc., will one day have been a blip in the earth's epochal passage and there will be no intelligence around to appreciate that our civilization once existed.

You can't find a real scientist anywhere in the world who can look you in the eye and, without hesitation, without clarification, without saying, kinda, mighta, sorta, if, and or but…say "yes, global warming is with us."

The outcome of the global warming debate has far reaching effects that impact our lifestyle, economy and health.

When I am required to radically change the way that I do things, I need to get a little closer to 100% than the global warming debate is.

I'm sorry but I think this global warming stuff is junk science and there is much more politics in this than real science. I don't require 100% proof of human contributions to global warming or that modifying human behavior will contribute to a slow down or cessation of global warming, but until politics are removed and objective scientific research is conducted – I ain't buying it!

I find it fascinating that Mr. Global Warming expert Algore is now the subject of a significant draft movement to enter the Presidential sweepstakes. Of course, I am sure he'll say no, not!

Think of it this way, if (and this is hypothetical, mind you) the polar ice caps melt within the next few decades, that would obviously cause catastrophic problems for a billion people living in coastal areas around the world because of the rising of sea level, and of course this would be only one problem out of many that I shouldn't need to explain. Most scientists are currently agreeing that this is what will most likely happen. Considering such potential problems, you would think that even the slightest evidence that humans are causing it would start action right away. After all, this problem is potentially bigger than all the Iraqs, Irans, and North Koreas put together. It would definitely cause problems for US interests throughout the world. We should be more "pre-emptive" on this than anything else.

It's true that scientists are not 0 certain of global warming, however neither are they of evolution or even gravity. It's very hard to consider something as a scientific fact, but that doesn't mean it's not highly likely. Therefore as long as they're mostly certain, that's enough for me.

Consider these facts (or should I say ™ certainties):
-C02 is a greenhouse gas.
-More C02 is present in the atmosphere now than in probably a million years because of fossil fuels and other industrial emissions, and it's projected to get higher.
-The world is hotter now than it has been in probably a million years, and it's projected to get a lot hotter.

I know you guys don't like connecting the dots on something that supposedly liberal tree-hugging stuff, however even Bush admitted that human activity is causing changes in the climate. Let's agree on global warming so we can start reducing activity that worsens it.

Well whatever; I understand your political need to deny anything that paints as liberal, however it's not a liberal thing. Ever hear of the "Republicans for Environmental Protection" organization? Did you watch the State of the Union? I don't understand, for the life of me, why you would want to deny or ignore a threat so global and potentially catastrophic, even if it was just a possibility. Wouldn't it scare you to know that a comet might hit the planet in 10 years, cutting the population by half? If you knew that we could avert such this comet from hitting, wouldn't you vote to take action? How is global warming any different?
