The King of Fools would like to attend the Republican Convention in his home state of Texas. Unfortunately, like many of us, he has budget concerns that will more than likely limit the amount of time he can dedicate to this event.

So, he's asked his readers for some donations to help him out. In exchange, I 'm sure he will provide us with several quality posts outlining both the political processes associated with these conventions and the important events of the convention. The fact that the convention he will be attending is in the President's home state makes it one of the most important in the country.

I have already donated to the King's convention fund and I recommend that you do the same. Why? I'll tell you.

1. Far too few people really know how our political process works, especially when it comes to party politics. The King is a talented writer with a knack for getting at the heart of a topic. His subsequent posts will be worth the price of your donation.


2. Despite rooting for the Houston Astros, the King is a level-headed bloke who is looking to become more involved in the politics of his country. When smart people like the King make a decision like this they should be encouraged.
