George McGovern: McCain Doesn’t Know Anything About Foreign Policy
Because all McCain has ever done is get shot down while serving his country in a war and spend 5 years being tortured in a socialist prison camp.
I’m always surprised when liberals take this line of attack on McCain. Do they really think attacking the man’s honorable service in the military, and his time as a much-tortured prisoner of war, is going to get any traction with mainstream Americans?
Such hyperbole may play well with the far-left, Code Pink and Michael Moore fans but those voting blocs aren’t exactly known for swinging elections.
What’s sad is that the media lets these guys get away with this stuff. They’ll complain about “swift boating” when you talk about John Kerry’s much-exaggerated stint in Vietnam, but people criticizing McCain for being a POW get a free pass.
Double standards are great, aren’t they?
